2021 AccessMed Ireland HPAT
Scholarships
Due to the generosity of our sponsors, we have 14 HPAT scholarships to
offer to sixth year students who plan on sitting the 2022 HPAT exam.
The scholarship would cover the cost of one HPAT examination in February 2022, mentoring sessions
with a current Medicine student and much more.

Ask your principal to write a short letter confirming that you are
currently enrolled in school

Film a landscape 90 second video containing:

A short introduction about yourself and your interests.
Your motivations and reasons for wanting to pursue a career in Medicine.
How this HPAT scholarship would benefit you and why would you face difficulty applying to
Medicine without it?
One example where you displayed good teamwork and overcame a problem.

Upload the confirmation letter from your principal in a shared

Google Folder and your video as an unlisted youtube video in the
application form

Deadline is 9am 16th of October 2021

We aim to notify all applicants by the first week of December
2021 regarding the outcome.

Two scholarships are reserved for female students from ethnic minority background (eg. Asian, Afro-
Carribean) and/or the travelling community and one scholarship is reserved for a student with a
chronic illness or disability as requested by the donors.

This is only possible due to the generosity of our donors: Medisec, MedCafe, Royal College of Physicians in
Ireland, MPS Ireland, Dr Nikita Deegan and several doctors who wish to remain anonymous.
