FADE IN:

INT. [FAMILY SURNAME] LIVING ROOM – DAY

We open with a shot of the outside of the house, setting the scene of our location. Jingle
playing as we cross fade into a shot of inside the living room, the camera is on a tripod facing
the door. BRITNEY opens the door. Cheers sound effect plays as he enters.

BRITNEY
(Shouting)
Guess who’s home?!

Laugh track plays. MUM is cooking dinner at the kitchen and calls out from the kitchen to
BRITNEY. Camera whips to show the MUM cooking.

INT. [FAMILY SURNAME] KITCHEN – DAY

MUM
(Sarcastically)
Ooo, good question let me think… Michael Jackson?

Laugh track plays. BRITNEY looks confused, clearly not understanding the joke. Camera
goes back onto BRITNEY.

INT. [FAMILY SURNAME] LIVING ROOM - DAY

BRITNEY
(Confused)
What? No it’s your daughter!

Laugh track plays. BRITNEY walks through into the living room and throws her bag on the
floor. She puts his feet up onto the sofa, MUM notices and runs over holding a newspaper.
She starts hitting her feet off of the sofa.

MUM
(Angrily, hitting his shoes off of the sofa with each word)
Shoes- off- the- sofa!

Laugh track plays. Camera cuts to a front on shot pointing at the two on the sofa.

MUM
So, how was your day?

BRITNEY
(Excited)
 Yeah, school was fine, same as usual. But I saw this video and I thought it was
so funny, been wanting to show you all day

BRITNEY pulls out her phone and gives it to MUM to show her.

MUM
(Strained)
Ooh, I can’t quite see that, bare with me I’ll go get my glasses.

Laugh track plays. MUM puts the phone down on the table and stands up to get her glasses.
Camera pans up as MUM is looking for her glasses. The camera pans back down to
BRITNEY looking exasperated. MUM comes back with her glasses and sits back down. She
picks up the phone again.

MUM
Right then, lets see what this video is!

MUM keeps moving the phone backwards and forwards, trying to adjust it so she can see it
well. Laugh track plays.

MUM
Tell you what, you can hardly see anything with these devices.

BRITNEY is still looking exasperated.

BRITNEY
Mum, why don’t you just let me, look I can make it bigger for you so you can
see it better.

BRITNEY tries to take the phone back but MUM keeps a hold of it. They both have a hold of
the phone and are going back and forth with it, exaggeratingly going to different ends of the
sofa when the other person has it. Laugh track playing over this.

FADE IN:
Intro plays. Intro consists of different characters, some not in this production. Compiles short
clips of these different characters in different funny scenarios. Text comes on screen for
every character saying their character name and the actor playing them. Theme music playing
over the top of this. Intro fades out once it’s completed.

FADE IN:

INT. [FAMILY SURNAME] HALLWAY – DAY

We fade back into the episode. BRITNEY is standing in the hallway, MUM has locked
herself in the bathroom, with BRITNEY’S phone. BRITNEY is knocking on the door

BRITNEY
(Frustrated)
Mum! Can you just give me my phone back please?
Laugh track plays.

MUM
(Innocently)
Well, I just wanted to watch that video you were so desperate to show me!

BRITNEY looks the door up and down, baffled by the lengths MUM has gone to, to take the
phone.

BRITNEY
(Confused)
Well, don’t you think you’ve gone to a slight extreme?

MUM
(Innocently)
No, you should’ve just trusted me to figure it out myself. Besides, I found and watched that
video now. I didn’t really find it funny though, I told you to stop hanging around that Matt
guy!

BRITNEY, realising that MUM has gone through his phone and not watched the video, starts
panicking and trying to get in the bathroom. Desperate for her phone. Laugh track plays.

BRITNEY
(Panicky)
No-No-No-No Mum that’s not the video! That’s not what I wanted to show you!

MUM
Sorry it was the one that popped up!

BRITNEY
(Panicky)
‘The one that popped up’? Mum have you been going through my phone?

There is a few seconds of silence as BRITNEY waits for the

response from MUM
MUM
(Slyly)
No…

Laugh track plays. BRITNEY obviously knows that she is lying.

BRITNEY
(Agitated)
Right Mum, I know you have can you, can you just give me my phone back? I only wanted to
show you *one* funny video

Silence

MUM
Alright, fine. But, I know you’re right outside so, can you just step to the side or something?
Cant have you all up in my face

Laugh track plays as BRITNEY steps out of the way to the side,
looking confused like the request was a ridiculous one.

BRITNEY
Alright, I’m out the way now can you come out?

MUM opens the door and comes out into the hallway, she looks at BRITNEY

BRITNEY
(Sighing)
Thank you. Maybe next time I wont say anything

MUM
(Looking at the phone)
Some interesting stuff you had on there though…

BRITNEY looks up at MUM and back down at her phone

BRITNEY
(Cautiously)
Mum, you said you’d give it back…

MUM
(Slowly)
I know…

MUM looks down at the phone and runs off down the hallway, BRITNEY chases after her

BRITNEY
(Panicky)
No, Mum give it back!
We finish on a freeze frame of BRITNEY running after MUM. Ending jingle plays as we
fade out.
