1
Introduction
I will demonstrate what i have learned throughout the course and critically
reflect on my growth and learning. The portfolio will be a useful instrument for fusing
theory and practice and giving a thorough understanding of global health management.
I will discover the benefits of ongoing professional development, the significance of self-
management, how to critically assess my progress, and how to design action plans via
this course. I have learned range of subjects important to managers and leaders in the
healthcare industry while fostering collaboration, communication, ethical behavior, and
leadership theories. The Gibbs reflective model was used by me to create my
instructional programme.

Gibbs Reflective Cycle

Description
I am eager to start the Global Healthcare Management course because of the
chances it offers to highlight my accomplishments and academic growth. This course
provides a space for critical reflection on my educational experience and personal
growth as I progress in my studies, going beyond just showcasing academic
achievement. I look forward to keeping a diary or blog during the course to help me
integrate theory and practice, bridge the gap between different taught modules, and
develop a thorough grasp of global health management. By compiling proof of my
professional accomplishments, this portable resource will serve as a testimonial to my
employable qualities in management and leadership. I place much weight on the three

2
semester’s main learning objectives. To provide high-quality patient care, good
healthcare administration requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and efficient
resource allocation (Gupta, 2022). It necessitates effective communication and
collaboration while promoting a good work atmosphere.
I am enthusiastic about maintaining my professional development by creating a
physical or digital portfolio highlighting my progress and achievements. Second, self-
management is crucial to my continued growth as a manager and leader. I am eager to
critically evaluate my progress through the course and turn my discoveries into a well-
organized action plan. I am excited about the chances and difficulties this module
presents, and I am committed to using them to improve as a healthcare management
professional and become more introspective.

Feeling

The course invites critical evaluation of our learning and growth while showcasing our
accomplishments throughout the course. By keeping a diary or blog, I may better
combine theory and practice and give me a thorough understanding of global health
management. The three learning outcomes fascinate me. Understanding the need for
continued professional growth via a portfolio perfectly complements my professional
objectives. Leaders and managers need to develop self-management and
organizational abilities in every healthcare context. Patient safety, legal observance,
and ongoing development must all be given top priority by healthcare administrators
(Adewumi, 2022). Evaluating my progress critically via a suitable action plan will help
me improve. Analysis, communication, policy, and ethical practice are just a few of the
broad and important curriculum themes making learning comprehensive. I like the
assistance from the module team, and accessibility is made possible by the flexibility of
online and live sessions. I think that taking up for this course is a very difficult
endeavour. Throughout the course, my personality's potential for team management
grew. My experience shows that when I overcome more challenges, I get better at doing
so. Over time, I became more adept at controlling my annoyance. I changed how I
interacted with people, and my capacity for social empathy increased.

3
Evaluation
The Global Healthcare Management Portfolio module seems to be created to a
chance to highlight my accomplishments from the course and critically reflect on my
personal growth. The portfolio will be a useful tool for fusing knowledge and experience
in global health management and bridging theory and practice. Using an electronic or
physical portfolio, the module seeks to help improve my self-management abilities as
leader and manager by promoting my understanding of the need for ongoing
professional growth. Leaders must possess self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and
the capacity to adjust to changing situations. Therefore self-management is equally
crucial (Barua & Sinha, 2022). I will learn about various subjects during the module,
including analysis and reflection, research and evidence, collaboration and
communication, policy and governance, ethical practice, and leadership theories. The
creation and maintenance of a portfolio page, participation in continuous professional
development (CPD), and reflection on individual course progress in an action plan are
all components of assessment. The subject is thorough and seeks to provide me with
the information and skills of me need to succeed in my future employment in hospital
management. My professor gave me excellent grades for overall inventiveness and
effectiveness. I have a lot of internal motivation (Philippakos, 2017).The area that need
improvement is problem-solving. My ability to lead needs to be strengthened. I can
benefit from my great interpersonal skills and teamwork in the job.

Analysis

Global Healthcare Management course looks to be a thorough and well-

structured module with distinct goals and learning outcomes based on the module guide
that has been supplied. The module intends to highlight student accomplishments,
promote critical reflection on learning, and support the development of crucial
leadership and management competencies in the healthcare industry. Goal-setting, time
management, and healthy work-life balance are all aspects of effective self-
management(Bhat&Gaga,2022). One of my weaknesses is that I don't speak other

4
languages well.I had a hard time dealing with the poor technical capabilities
(Richardson et al. 2020).I take excessive chances, which hinders my academic
performance.Again, I need to improve my poor listening skills.

Conclusion

Additionally, I am excited to use the portfolio as a portable tool to highlight my

employable talents in management and leadership. Self-managing healthcare
professionals may motivate their staff, make wise choices, and contribute to the
success of healthcare organizations, improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction
(Fardell & Dickman, 2023). The learning objectives for the three modules exactly match
my objectives. I look forward to realizing the importance of ongoing professional growth
and showcasing my learning path by creating an electronic portfolio. I am also excited
about learning self-management techniques and using them to guide my continued
professional growth as a manager and leader. Finally, I am eager to participate in
critical analyses and develop action plans to advance throughout the course. I
recognize the value of actively participating in online and in-person sessions, taking
ownership of my education by reading the suggested materials, talking with peers and
tutors, and participating in inquiry-based learning. must be well-versed in the
happenings management of a team, effective communication, Time management in
demanding situations and events aims for improved performance in the following team
activity.

Action Plan
I have been concerned about my failure to priorities my work and manage my time well. I
suffered with this problem the entire time I was an academic. To figure everything out, I'll need
at least 6 months. I want to keep track of my accomplishments. It’s crucial to monitor my
progress. Alerts guarantee on-time completion of assignments. Post-it notes, phone notes, and
alarms are all helpful in keeping me on schedule. Developing a to-do list that takes
consideration of other priorities and managing one's time standards. Success at work and in my
personal life depends on my capacity to manage my time properly and set goals at work. By the
end of March 2024, I'll be better at planning my time in order that I can live an active life.
