acid base electrolyte

Some tips for medicine to study fast and get max right questions

1. Focus on acid base/electrolyte imbalance. In every exam saw so

many questions regarding these 2 topics.
ABG causes and concepts and electrolyte imbalance especially
Hyponatremia, Hyperkalemia and chloride and bicarbonate coneept
should be highly clear
2. Study diagnosis and management part from medicine and integrate
as much as possible with pathology and pharma.
3. Don't forget to watch xray, mri also with respective topic say for
example you are doing stroke wateh mri, ct simultaneously. Don't take
radio as separate subject.
4. You can't study entire medicine but topics I listed down in my next
slide are asked in recent neet and inicet. From 2020 onwards I saw
every recall video and made this list system wise. For medicine since
2021 pattern is more clinical based. So need to focus more on read
less topics only but revise more and practice more meq.
5. If you will annotate management part into your first aid in
pathology section your topie is complete. If not then do keep your
notes for pathology and medicine adjacent read 1 topic from both and
add at once place all info regarding one whole topic.
Guide post for medicine
Most asked units-
1. acid base/metabolic disorder, electrolyte imbalance most important which none
can forget every year 4,5 or more saw in neet/Inicet.( causes to concept full
I

clear)
2. Endocrine- Pituitary> DM> Adrenal >Bone mineral metabolism> Thyroid
3. Cardio
4. Hemat
5. Rheumat
6. Neuro
These are Top 6 and rest all systems are less asked
7. Respiratory
8. Infections and poisoning
9. Nephrology
10. Liver and git

Endo
1. Pituitary- Pituitary adenoma, hyperprolactinemia, acromegaly
2. Paper is incomplete without MEN syndrome, PGA
SYNDROME,Pheochromocytoma
3. DM and DKA another hot topic
4. Metabolic syndrome
5. Bone mineral meatabolism- hyper parathyroidism, rickets, osteo
6. Adrenal- Cushing syndrome>>>>>> if time permits then adrenal
insufficiency, Addison
Cardio
1. AF you can't miss this topic master everything guidelines, treatment
2. SVT/VT these days both Inicet and neet ask ecg based on this only so master ecg
also along with treatment protocol.
3. Other important ecg = heart block/ bradycardia/tachycardia
4. JVP one mandatory question.Do with physio integrated very nicely and along with
understand whiole cardiac cycle
5. Vasculitis definitely can't forget this topic
6. Heart failure/MI/ NSTEMI/ STEMI for sure one question from any of these 3 topics
management u need to master
7. Cardiomyopathy- SAM can't forget at all
8. Rh heart disease whole topic do with pedia/patho, JE prophylaxis and c/f
9. MS>AR >TS more important then AS and MR and TR.First 3 mandatory
10. Cong heart ds- Coarctation of aorta, VSD,ASD, PDA,TOF most important
Ad

Rheumat

Study medicine in 7 days and give only 6,7 hrs
and rest practice lots of question whole day
Day 1- Acid Base/metabolie disorder/eleetrolyte
imbalance and nephrology( Integrate with
pediatrics wherever mentioned in list)
Day 2- Endot- clinical pharma
Day 3-Cardiology
Day 4- Hemat-+ liver/GIT integrate with patho
for sure
Day 5- Rheumat +- Respi. Integrate respi with
physio must do
Day 6 - Neuro
Day 7 infection +poisoning integrate with
-

psm, micro especially and rest other places

wheere topic is mentioned like HIV covered in
obgy also, TB given in pedia also
Those who are integrating
4P (physio, pharma, patho, peaa
and medicine)

CVS -1.5
CNS- 1.5
Respi- 1
Endo- 1
GOT and rheumat- 1
Nephro and acid base- 1
Hemat-1
Infection-1
General patho- 1
General physio and pharma- 1

Neonatalogy- 1
In 12 good days you can easily do 5 subjects. Mostly topies are
overlapping as I made list you can notice. Other topics which are
specific will take little more time.
Say for example u gave 6 hrs to do respi from patho, pharma,
medicine, pedia u nicely did topic of pneumonia and asthma ete now
some more depth u need for physio respi like Spirometer topie, v/q
ratio etc give 3,4 hrs more but trust me with full focus if ull focus on
only py topics u gonna cover in 12 hrs and rest time practice lots
question

1.Ideal method to do biochemistry is first aid plus

rapid revision videos of Dr. Rebecca ma'am .

Annotate all prvs yr topic into first aid and u r good

to go. Biochemistry= first aid. Such simplified, easy
to remember.
2. Still facing certain issues search on You'Tube-
biochemistry by Dr. Nikita ma'am you gonna get
plenty of mnemonies which you can use to make your
topic more easy.
3. For molecular biology Dr. Zainab vora ma'am
made one video. Search link from her channel.

ver
cas postitmedicine Just try and find that right
direction for yourself and never look back.
Never stop giving your all. Never give up,
because you can, only if you yourself think
you can. No amount of motivational videos
and random people doing poetry can make
that fire burn inside you as much as your
own will and determination can.
Be kind, never pull anyone down, instead
take people up the ladder with you, yearn for
excellence
