the ultimate lintels

the lintray is a stainless steel lintel with welded
stop ends and end plates. it can be installed as
easily as any other lintel. it costs about the same
as an equivalent collection of galvanised lintel,
plastic cavity tray and stop ends with a far superior
long term performance.
it’s also very forgiving when it comes to installation, compared with
the problems of fixing plastic stop ends in cold, damp weather
when the site operatives are working in difficult conditions.

Windpost and lintel System

there are a full range of windposts, manufactured from Stainless
and galvanised steel. lintels are supplied with adjustable end plates
connecting windpost to lintel producing an effective steel trellis.
this system is indispensable where expansion joints produce
unrestrained wall areas between windposts.
Windposts are produced with a full range of head and base fixings.

roller Shutter lintel System

Shutter lintels are manufactured
using all our standard lintel sections.

Stainless Steel lintels range

We offer a choice of four stainless steels but most of the
time we recommend ldX 2101®
304 Stainless Steel has historically been the material of choice for durability
and exceptional corrosion resistance with no reliance on a surface coating.

What is ldX 2101® Stainless Steel

ldX 2101® Stainless Steel is a modern duplex (austenitic-ferritic) material
particularly well suited to use in buildings, particularly lintels. Offering better
corrosion resistance and 2.3 x the strength of 304 lintels.

arches
When you want to make a feature of brickwork you may
need more than a standard lintel, so Catnic offers both
standard and innovative bespoke designs.

Standard arch lintels

Catnic have a standard range of 10 semi-circular arches
specifically designed and manufactured for domestic
housing applications with nominal loadings. these arches
offer considerable flexibility for feature brickwork with
clear spans ranging from 600mm to 1200mm.

Semi-circular arch lintel

the semi-circular arch lintel is the most common feature
brickwork opening providing a classical design line for
any window or door. Catnic have 10 different size semi-
circular arch lintels available from stock.

Typical applications showing semi-circular

High Performance dPcs – the hyload family

Where to use:
in residential and commercial/industrial construction works.
(hyload housebuilder is limited to structures of no more than two
storeys). hyload MortarMatch is a pigmented material that is
designed for use with stonework.

What it does:
the hyload range of dPCs are high performance products that
provide the best barrier to moisture in brick and block
construction.

What it is:
all hyload products are synthetic materials.
hyload Original and hyload housebuilder are of pitch polymer
composition; hyload MortarMatch is a polymer-modified material.

How it is used:
these dPC products are incorporated into brickwork or blockwork
construction in accordance with standard practices.

Hyload insulated dPc and Hyload fr insulated dPc

Where to use:
hyload is used around window and door openings.

What it does:
hyload is an insulated material, designed to restrict heat loss
and eliminate cold bridging between the outer and inner brick
/ block constructions around openings.
these requirements are now specifically called for in building
regulations - approved document l and form part of the
recommendations of both nhbC and bre.
hyload fr is a fire retardant insulated dPC which maintains
performance properties whilst meeting current and proposed
fire regulations.

What it is:
hyload is formed from bitumen polymer dPC laminated to
highly flexible cross-linked polyethylene foam.
hyload fr is formed by laminating a bitumen polymer dPC to
phenolic foam insulating board.

How it is used:
hyload is incorporated into brickwork or blockwork construction
around openings in accordance with standard practices.

Hyload Pre-formed cloaks

Where to use:
hyload Pre-formed dPC units are used on site where a dPC cavity tray is required to negotiate a corner, column,
change of level or other three–dimensional location.
traditionally, complicated dPC junctions have been formed on site. this method is unreliable; dPC failure occurs
at such locations and the subsequent remedial work is always many times the cost of installing pre-formed units.
