The chart below shows the proportion of staff employed by age in the public sector
in the UK in 2015 and 2020.

The two pie charts illustrate the percentage of laborers by age in the state-owned sector in
the UK in two different years.

Overall, the lowest proportion of workers in the government sector was found in the age
group under 21, while the age group 21-30 represented the largest percentage.

In 2015, approximately 14% of employees were under 21 years old, 21% were in the 31-
40 age range, and about 23% were over 50 years old. However, there was a slight
decrease in the proportion of workers under 21 and over 50 to around 12% and 16%
respectively in 2020. Notably, the percentage of employees in the 31-40 age group
significantly declined to 11% in the public sector in 2020.

In 2015, approximately 23% of workers fell in the 21-30 age group, while 19% were in
