n November 15, 2016, the University of Winnipeg pre-
sented Gerry Price with the Duff Roblin Award at a gala
dinner attended by the leaders of Manitoba’s philanthropic
and education communities.
The Duff Roblin Award “recognizes outstanding Manitobans
who… are patrons of education and have demonstrated exem-
plary citizenship and lifelong commitment to their communities.”
Proceeds from the dinner fund academic and community program-
ming at the University of Winnipeg.
“Gerry Price is an exceptional industry leader whose generosity
and dedication to community have greatly benefitted our province,”
University of Winnipeg President and Vice-Chancellor Annette
Trimbee told the Winnipeg Free Press. “That community minded-
ness, coupled with his commitment to shaping our future leaders,
exemplifies the spirit of the Duff Roblin Award.”
Gerry is a tireless supporter of Winnipeg in both the commercial
and philanthropic realms. Price’s headquarters remain located in
Winnipeg to ensure rewarding career opportunities for generations
of Winnipeggers to come, bolstering the local economy and making
Winnipeg a more viable and vibrant community.
Gerry is particularly committed to education as the root of, and
greatest tool for, success. Over 50 Price employees volunteer for
the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy (see “Winnipeg Jets Hockey
Academy”, Priceless News Summer/Fall 2016), and Gerry serves
as a volunteer director of the True North Youth Foundation board.
Gerry has provided leadership support for various educational
institution capital campaigns over the years; the Price family also
funds approximately 50 scholarships per year. Gerry and his wife,
Barb, were named the 2011 Outstanding Philanthropists of the
Year by the Manitoba chapter of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals.

October 20-23, 2016, hosting our first-ever NHL Heritage Classic that featured
the Winnipeg Jets versus the Edmonton Oilers in an outdoor game in front of
33,500 fans.
Legendary NHL Hall of Famers Mark Messier, Dale Hawerchuk and none other than
Wayne Gretzky himself were in town to reminisce and celebrate a rivalry that goes back to
1971, when the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets became founding teams in the rebel
World Hockey Association before entering the NHL together in 1979.
Price leveraged this monumental event to stage an historic event of its own. More than
80 engineers and contractors from across Canada, and a few from the US, joined us for the
Price Heritage Classic Event, which kicked off on October 21 with Gerry Price sharing the
Price Story with an enraptured group. This was followed by tours of Price Research Center
North (PRCN), Price Critical Controls and Price Electronics.
The group spent the morning of October 22 at Price Mechanical, experiencing thorough
tours and presentations of Price Mechanical’s gas lab, environmental chamber and the Price
Mechanical Technical Center (PMTC). A good old fashioned tailgate party followed, with

in 2016, the Suwanee team signed a Safety Pledge to follow all
safety guidelines and watch out for the safety of their fellow team
members. This practice has been in place since 2008 and the team
shows continuous improvement each year.
The Suwanee team has managed record levels of incoming orders
and shipping in 2016, but an unwavering belief in and commitment
to the safety process has reduced accidents by over 40%.
We thank the Suwanee team for a job well done as they continue Suwanee’s diverse and experienced Safety

Days 2016 in Suwanee and Winder!
Price employees with cultural ties to
over 30 countries around the world unite in
teamwork every day to accomplish our col-
lective goals. Culture Day was established
by Price’s Winder employees in 2014 to
celebrate this incredible diversity in Price’s
workforce and to share cultural awareness.
Flags, national anthems, cultural dress,
artifacts and talent from across the world
were displayed proudly. Employees received
Cultural dress at Winder
promotional items celebrating the different
languages of Price and enjoyed meals from
many of the represented cultures.
Some employees honored their heritage
by participating in the talent competition,
sharing dances and songs from their home-
lands or in the cultural dress competition.
Others relaxed and watched the events,
sharing in community time with coworkers
and having their picture taken in the photo
booth that transported them via green
screen from Egypt to Italy and beyond.
The Winder Priceless Singers concluded
the event by writing and performing a
heartfelt song about what it means to be
part of the Price family: no matter where
we are from and how many languages and
nationalities unite at Price every day, we are
truly one culture, one team and one family.
Winder and Suwanee’s teams thank all
the people who served to make this year’s
event one to remember.

he 7th annual Travis Price Classic (TPC) Charity Golf
Tournament was another great success and featured a fun-
filled, albeit not always sunny, day of golf.
Travis never liked to do things on a small scale and this year’s
tournament certainly followed his philosophy of “go big or go home”
as the tournament hosted 145 golfers, 43 volunteers and over 156
sponsors. With your support we are proud to contribute over
$245,000 to the True North Youth Foundation (TNYF)’s Camp
Manitou in 2016.
The proceeds from this year’s tournament are already being put
to use at Camp Manitou, funding great facility additions that sig-
nificantly upgrade programming opportunities for both the summer
and winter seasons. Funds from this year’s tournament have been
Gerry and Barb Price with TPC Co-Founders
allocated to constructing a new toboggan slide and outdoor skating
Adam Coates, Connor McGarry and Taylor Ethans
rink, encouraging schools and local groups to take part in fun, out-
door experiences during the winter months. This year’s contribution
has also funded the construction of the first individual camper cabin
to be detached from the lodge.
Future capital projects to be completed with TPC funds include
construction of a new sports court, a low ropes course and 10
individual all-season cabins.
Our collective goal is to continue to be a champion for kids and
provide them with rewarding camp experiences. As such, we are
hoping to grow the TPC family even more as we get ready for the
8th annual Travis Price Classic Charity Golf Tournament, which
will be held on August 21, 2017. We have already started to pre-
pare, and will be sending out information on Camp Manitou and the
tournament in the near future.
For additional information about the tournament and sponsorship
opportunities, please visit our website at www.travispriceclassic.
The first all-season cabin is currently being constructed com.
and 10 additional cabins will be constructed in Spring 2017
