Quick Math Questions

1. What is the 30% of 30? Solution: Firstly you
have to cancel “0” from both sides, and then
multiply both sides with each other and you’ll get
the answer 3 x 3 = 9 So, 9 is the answer 1.

What is 45% of 50? Solution? Now this one is a

bit more complex than the previous one, but it’s
easy divide both sides by 10 and multiply them
with each other, OR divide one side by 100 and
multiply both sides with each other and you’ll get
the answer By first method, 4.5 x 5 = 22.5 By
Menu 
second method, 45 x 0.5 = 22.5 So, 22.5 is the
answer 1.

Add ¾ and 5/4 Solution: Since the denominators

of both values are same, i.e. 4 so we’ll simply add
the numerators, simplify it if possible and we’ll
get the answer 3 + 5 = 8 = 1 Answer 4 4 2 1.

Add 4/5 and 11/3 Solution: Now the

denominators are different so we’ll take LCM, the
LCM of 5 and 3 is 15 Since, 5 x 3 = 15 so we’ll
multiply 4 by 3 and since, 3 x 5 = 15 so we’ll
multiply 11 by 5 12 + 55 = 67 Answer 15 15

1 km = 0.62 mile
1 mile= 1.609 km
1 cm = 0.01 m
1 m = 100 cm
1 km = 1000 m
1 kg = 2.204 pounds
1 pound = 0.45 kg
1 foot = 12 inch
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 cm = 0.39 inch
1 USD = 124.94 PKR
1 foot = 30.48 cm
1 yard = 94.44 cm
1 yard = 3 feet
1 m = 3.28 feet
1 m = 1.09 yard
1 yard = 0.91 m
1 mile = 5280 feet
3 miles = 1 league
1 kg = 1.094 seer
1 seer = 0.931 kg
1 million = 10 lac
1. Calculate the Zakat in 2000rs Solution: To
calculate Zakat of any value you have to find
Menu 
2.5% of the given value We’ll do it with the
method that we’ve learned above we’ll divide
2000 by 100 and then we’ll multiply it with 2.5
2000 = 20 x 2.5 = 50 100 So, the answer is 50

1. How many millions are there in 3 lacs?

Solution: As we know that, 1million = 10 lacs So
3 lacs = 0.3 million

1. How many km are there in 4000 m? Solution:

As we know that, 1000m = 1km so there are 4km
in 4000m

1. Calculate sin (90-x) Solution: As we know

that, sin 90= 1 and cos 90= 0 According to
the formula, sin(A-B) = Sin(A)Cos(B)-
Cos(A)Sin(B) We’ll the apply the formula
here, here, A= 90 and B=x sin(90-x) =
sin(90)cos(x)-cos(90)sin (x) as, sin 90= 1 and
cos90= 0 sin(90-x) = 1.cos(x)-(0)sin(x)
sin(90-x) = cos(x)

1. Calculate cos (90-x) Solution: As we know that,

sin 90= 1 and cos 90= 0 According to the formula,
Cos(A-B) = Cos(A)Cos(B) + Sin(A)Sin (B) We’ll the
apply the formula here, here, A= 90 and B=x
Cos(90-x) = Cos(90)Cos(x) + Sin(90)Sin (x) as, sin
90= 1 and cos90= 0 Cos(90-x) = 0.Cos(x) + 1.Sin(x)
