Instruction Sheet for NPAT 2020

The NPAT examination will be conducted through remote proctored mechanism. Candidates will be able
to take the test from their homes using a desktop or laptop and internet connection.

Innovation is in the DNA of NMIMS and NPAT test will be another manifestation of the same.
Candidates must note that though the test is being taken at your home, your conduct during
examination will be proctored using Artificial Intelligence as well a Human proctor.

Candidate should note that NMIMS has zero tolerance policy for unethical behaviour.

It is therefore strongly advised that candidates take the examination with utmost solemnity and ensure
that all the instructions are strictly followed.

NMIMS reserves the right to disqualify any candidate who is found to be indulging in any kind of
malpractice.

Important instructions to be followed before and during the online NPAT Examination.
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
 Candidate is required to be in seated in front of the desktop or Laptop at all times for the duration
of the exam.
 There should be enough light to capture the face of the candidate.
 Dress Code is strictly smart casuals.
 There should be no one else present in the vicinity other than the candidate during the
examination.
 Candidate should have the IT infrastructure to undertake this examination (attached is the
requirement) specially the webcam / microphone.
 Should take the mock test mandatorily. The mock test will help the candidate to get acquainted
with the process of initiating the test.
During Examination
 Candidate will not be allowed to open any other application window during exam. If you attempt
to do so, a violation will be recorded by the NPAT testing system
 Please note that your images / videos will be captured and will be monitored on near real time by
the AI and Human proctor. It is therefore advised that you don’t look around or leave your seat
during the duration of the examination. Any such behaviour will be recorded as a violation.
 Candidate is encouraged to use the virtual notepad and calculator. Candidate can use 2 sheets
( 4 pages back and front).Separate instructions will be mentioned on the website.
 Candidate should not be talking during the examination or use any other device like mobile
phones and tablets to communicate with others.
 If Candidate moves or blocks the camera, the examination will get auto submitted for such
candidate and the test will not be accessible to the candidate thereafter.
 In case of an internet failure the management will reserve the right to extend the timeline of the
examination.
 Candidate should use the same laptop /desktop for all the examination.

Candidates are required to take the mock test to be held on 14th May 2020 & 16th May 2020 from 10AM
to 2PM. Helpdesk support details will be shared later.
