No Criteria Definitions
1 Typology The type of script needs to be indicated. For instance, this script
is a guardian's script.
2 Traceability The information must be relevant to the problem’s design, and
the connection should be visible.
3 Transparency The information about the method adopted for creating the
script must be clearly presented along with the data for the
script generation. Furthermore, the criteria, measurement, and
model development must be clearly presented. Lastly, when
several scripts are combined, the integration should be
informed.
4 Consistency The method applied in the script generation must be constantly
applied within the whole crime scripting process. This
consistency also occurred in the diagrammatic script.
5 Context Since crime are specific context, mentioning the context along
the script added a more precise understanding of conditions and
constraints that impacted control measures effectiveness.
6 Completeness The script must contain comprehensive and relevant
information that significantly contributes to the consequences.
For instance, in an ecological model, the essential factors that
are influence should be described including physical and
psychological factors
7 Parsimony The irrelevant information to the stakeholder’s requirements
needs to be excluded from the script.
8 Precision The information in the script must be precisely presented based
on the addressed control measures and allow the evaluation of
its effectiveness.
9 Uncertainty The crime commission and its consequences and uncertainty
must be presented explicitly in detail to the stakeholders. For
example, a script stage needs to be specified whether it is
sensed, inferred or speculated stage. This can influence the
degree of certainty for policymakers when designing a strategy.
10 Usability The crime script needs to be deep enough for the user.
Furthermore, when presenting the script as an activity diagram
the text, symbol or arrow should be understandable.
11 Ambiguity The information in the script must possibly be interpreted in one
way.
12 Accuracy The intrinsic and relational properties of script elements should
be clearly explained.
