Story Stones None for this week

A long time ago people used to tell stories using story stones.
Story stones are stones with little pictures drawn on them....

People would get lots of stones and paint

pictures on them. They would then sit in a
circle with the stones turned over so that
they could not see the pictures. The stones
would be mixed up so they did not know
where the pictures were.

They would then turn a stone over and use

the picture to begin a story, then another
person would turn over another story and
use that picture to continue the story.

Your task for this week is to create story stones. If you can’t paint stones you can use small
pieces of paper or something else to paint or draw your pictures onto.

Ask your family to help you tell the story. You can do this many times and always get a
new and fun story.
