Philosophy is the study of fundamental questions about the world and our place in it. It often involves examining different perspectives and worldviews. Understanding different views and points of view comes easily to me. I can easily empathize with and appreciate others as their own person or self, rather than as a by-product of society. In relation to PHILOSOPHY philosophy, particularly Immanuel Kant's ideas, each individual is unique and experiences things in a different way. Because of this, I view things through a different lens than the majority of people. This allows me to look at situations differently and approach them in a way that does not conform to what the majority is doing. Sociology is a vast and complex field of study that aims to systematically investigate human society and social phenomena. It delves into patterns of social relationships and interactions, as well as the cultural norms that shape them. As someone who values perspective as a top signature strength, I practice this skill regularly in my everyday life. I can easily recognize, understand, and empathize SOCIOLOGY with others. In connection to sociology, my friends often come to me for advice. I help them realize things they haven't noticed before and provide advice that can help them improve as individuals. I offer wisdom regarding their personal issues, and this is my way of connecting and socializing with others by being their personal counselor. Anthropology is a field of study that provides individuals with a greater appreciation for cultural diversity and how culture shapes human behavior and experiences. Personally, this has helped me develop a more nuanced perspective in my everyday life by understanding the behaviors of the people I encounter. For instance, when I meet ANTHROPOLOGY someone who is very open and vocal in expressing affection, I recognize that this behavior may have been influenced by growing up in a loving and expressive family. Similarly, if someone is reserved, it may be because they grew up in a family that was distant and not expressive when it comes to affection. Psychology, the study of the human mind and behavior, plays an important role in understanding and cultivating perspective. Using myself as an example, observing how others deal with specific situations allows me to gain new perspective. By comparing their PSYCHOLOGY reactions to my own, I can draw conclusions about why they behave in certain ways. This allows me to find common ground that explains why people act the way they do. Through this process, I not only discover connections between behaviors, but also gain new perspectives that help me understand people even better. Eastern and Western philosophies are generally considered collective and individualistic, respectively. In terms of my signature strength, perspective, I am capable of not only seeing things from my own point of view, but also from the point of view of others. I can easily take into EASTERN AND consideration their personal backgrounds, upbringings, and behaviors WESTERN when interacting with them (collective). Additionally, I can develop my own unique perspective by simply observing how other people act (individualistic). Although this may be a challenge for some, it comes naturally to me.
