Standard Apartment System

1.0 System Brief Introduction

Standard apartment system is networking visual intercom system, It realizes the
networking intercom among a large residential community.
2.0 System Advantage:
Power Save: Standby no power, save energy, extend the product lifecycle more than
5 years.
High Stable and Reliability: Use the isolator box to separate audio, video, control
signals, power, etc. If one of indoor monitor get problem, such as short circuit, all other
indoor phones will be protected by isolator box and not be effected.
Super Compatibility: The room number is stored in Isolator module, different models
of indoor monitor with same system can be replaced freely, no need to reprogram the
room number.
3.0 System Equipment (For the details of each product, please read the user
manual)
 3.1: Outdoor station
Installed at each building entrance.
a. Intercom with indoor monitor, Management Certer.
b. Access: Unlock the door with password or ID/IC card.
Remark:
1. we have two kinds of display, LED and LCD. The price for LCD is higher.
2. When one building has several entrances, such as the sub-floor car
parking, you may need to have several outdoor stations for one building, (it
allows merely one outdoor station as the main outdoor station).
we have two methods to connect these outdoor stations:
a. When Q’ty of outdoor station <= 3pcs, just connect 3pcs outdoor station
by Daisy Chain.
b. When Q’ty of outdoor station > 3pcs,(the max. 8 outdoor stations for one
single building) we need use 1pc Outdoor Isolator Module 602DVA to
connect each outdoor station

3.2: Indoor monitor

a. Intercom with outdoor station.
b. Call management center.
c. Monitor the outdoor station.
d. Remote unlock the door for visitor.
3.3 Isolator Module
a. Separate audio, video, control signals, power, etc
b. Has A and B two versions. Version A used for handset indoor monitor, Version B
used for hands-free indoor monitor.
c. According to port No, we have A/B-2, -4, -6, -8. Each port connect one indoor
monitor.
Choose the port No. according to how many households in each floor.
Example:
10 households in each floor, you can choose 1pc A/B-4 and 1pc A/B-6. why not 1pc
A/B-2 and 1pc A/B-8? It also Ok, but the connect wires between these two isolator
 module will be longer.
3. 4. Power Supply.
a. the power for Indoor monitor will be supported from isolator module.
b. the power for outdoor station: Model. UPS-DP/P. Spec: Can be with back up
battery. DC12V output. (Each UPS-DP/P can supply power to 1pc outdoor station,
1pc electronic lock or magnetic lock and 6~8pcs isolator module) .
c. the power for Isolator Module: Model. UPS-P. Spec: Can be with back up battery.
DC18V output. (Max. 8pcs isolator module need 1pc UPS-P, We suggest to install
the UPS-P in the middle floor (the 4th floor), since each floor will have 1pc isolator,
total 8 floors.
Remark: In super apartment system, 1pc UPS-P only can support 8pcs indoor phones
without detector. Only can support 4 indoor monitors with detector, the
output of indoor monitor for all detector is 100mA totally.
d. Management Center: Model. UPS-CP. Spec: Can be with back up battery. DC18V
output. (Each MC station will need 1pc)
Lock: The electronic lock is connected with the “COM” “NO” ports of UPS-DP without
distinguish of +cathode and -anode.
Note:
when using the electronic lock, the unlocking time should adjust to the minimum,
otherwise, the power supply will be over loaded and damage the electronic lock.
The magnetic lock is connected with the “COM” “NC” ports of UPS-DP without
distinguish of cathode and anode. When using magnetic lock, it is better to
choose magnetic lock with working circuit less than 0.5A.

Network equipment
3.5 Management Center
a. Intercom with indoor monitor and outdoor station.
b. Monitor the outdoor station.
c. Remote unlock the door for visitor.
Management software
a. Send Message
b. Data Management, such as IC/ID card, Intercom record. Etc.
c. Alarm message.
3.6. Network Signal Switcher, Model: 602VAP
8 ports, with audio/video separation and signal repeat function. It is mainly applied
to the signal switch of the networking main line. When outdoor stations are far way
from the Management center, use this equipment to connect between outdoor
stations and Management center to save cables.
3.7.Wall station,
The feature is almost same as normal outdoor station, except it can call all indoor
monitors of the community, not just call one building indoor monitors. And we install it
at the gate of the whole community.
3.8 .Center switch, Model :AB-602DST
4 ports of the switch are connected to building Bus (outdoor stations or VAP), the
other four ports are connected to management center or Wall station. It reaches the
function of channel switch.
3.9 .Signal repeater, Model: AB-602SR
Extending networking function to realize the signal repeat in the community. It
need to configure 1 pc When the network signal wire comes to be over 600 meters
long.
Remark:
when need to use this equipment, usually the community will be very larger, we
strongly suggest to send us the whole location drawing for our double check
4.0 Project configuration

4.1 Project Description:
There is a residential area with 3 buildings, each building has 9 floors, there are 3
households in each floor from floor 1~8, and in last floor there is only one household.
There are two entrance, front door and back door.
From 1-9 floor, each household have an indoor monitor.
There is a management center at the door keeper, and there is a wall station at the
main entrance.

5.0 Trouble Shooting
Malfunction Phenomenon Elimination Method
Unlocking error A. Check if the indoor switch button works
properly.
B.Check if the reverse diode from outdoor
station which is linked to lock connected
correctly or not.
C.Check if the connection between lock
and outdoor station is correct or not.
Outdoor station calling indoor monitor, but Check isolator address/room number
indoor monitor doesn’t ring and doesn’t setting to see whether the address/room
have image number is correct.
Outdoor station calling indoor monitor, A, Check whether the output of isolator
indoor monitor rings but has no image module’s power port is 15v.or not.
B,Check the video wires between the
indoor monitor and isolator module. Or
between outdoor station and isolator
module. Is connected normally.
C. Check if the video wires and GND is
short circuit.
Outdoor station calling indoor monitor, the Check whether the video matching switch is
image is not clear. on or not. Or Check the protection film
covered on the outdoor station camera is
taken off or not.
The volume of indoor monitor is small Try to adjust the volume switch to see if the
volume is changed.

1.0 What’s different features between Standard and Super Apartment System

Alarm:
Support max.8 alarm stations. The gas detector and Emergency button
will always be in the working status. Other detector can be set according to
user’s requirement. Once the detector triggered, the video indoor phone and
management. Alarm message can be sent to management center
automatically, and management center can check the alarm types, time,
place and resident information through the remote computer control。
Image Memory:
Support snapshot, can store more than 100 pictures in SD card.
Telephone module:
use regular telephone to talk with outdoor station and unlock the door
Guard Station:
The indoor monitor can call the Guard Station. Available model: F4.
Flat Door camera for each household:
When the visitor enter the building and arrive before your door, he can
have video intercom with indoor monitor again, so that can be “double
security”.
Note:
The indoor monitor with the alarm station detector has the power interface to
supply the power for the alarm station detector, this interface can supply the current
up to 12V @ 100mA. If the whole consumption for this detector is over this value, it
is better to use extra power supply to supply the power for alarm station detector.

2.0 System Configuration Diagram

There is a residential area with 79 villas, 30 building with 680 households; The villa has
120 households; It total has 800 households. This is a video system with network intercom
and message receiver.
1, Each apartment configure a apartment video outdoor station.
2, Each villa configure a villa video second confirmed outdoor station.
3. There is a management center in the door keeper.
4. There is a perimeter gate/ wall station in the entrance.
5,Every household installs a video indoor monitor with 8 alarm stations ,functions of
emergency call and message receiving.
6,Every unit building installs a outdoor station power supply, UPS-DP/P
7,Each building entrance install a message receiver(128 households a unit building/per
message receiver)
8.The alarm detector can be configure according to household host’s requirement. Usually
a IR detector in the living room or bedroom, the gas detector in the kitchen, the
emergency button in the washing room or bedroom.
