KSS #1 – Reflection Writing Assignment

In conducting research, specific steps must be taken to identify the cause of a global

issue's root cause. This approach to learning and thinking involves a series of steps, which are as

follows: Deconstruction, Reconstruction, Reflection, Communication, and Collaboration. I

would be able to gather in-depth information on topics of research within a subject, increasing

their understanding and knowledge of global issues such as social media, global trade, and

healthcare as matters of interest to explore to suggest possible solutions.

By deconstructing a global issue, and taking it apart and breaking it down, we are able to

break it down into bite-sized pieces of evidence and information. It is easier to gain a clear

understanding of an entire article if one breaks down the main ideas of each paragraph to find its

purpose and meaning than if one reads it without identifying the main idea and purpose. By

analyzing and making judgments about the text or article, we can gain more insight into its

issues, opinions, and sources, and measure its strengths and weaknesses before making a

decision.

After deconstructing the text, the Critical Path involves reconstructing the views, facts,

and evidence to tie the article, text, or message together. In reconstruction, evidence and facts are
combined, or synthesized, to gain a clear understanding of the topic by combining the

information.By doing so, a possible approach to an issue can be discussed, along with how that

approach could be challenged or argued against.

The next step involves a reflection of the deconstructed and reconstructed information,

this is heavily influenced by the reader's understanding and to reflect on the information. I would

be able to reconsider what I am doing and what I am working on to further search for supportive

evidence and views. By using appropriate technique and resources, communication and

collaboration are the last steps of the process which are essential to learn as a skill in order to

make a compelling message to an audience on the global issue.

A Critical Path is used to assess information and resources in order to form an argument

and opinion based on the analysis and re-construction of evidence and views on a global,

national, or local level.
