FREEZER (CN: ) WEEKLY MAINTANCE

1 Test the high and low temperature alarms.


2 Test the power failure alarm (as required by your
organization’s protocols).
3 Test the door alarm (as required by your
organization’s protocols).
4 Check the backup battery for the chart recorder
after an extended power failure and change it if
necessary.
5 Check and clean probe cover, gaskets, hinges and
lid(s) of ice and snow.
6 Verify ambient temperature, <90°F
7 Change temperature chart.
8 Clean the condenser grill.
9 Clean the door gaskets, interior, and exterior of the
freezer.
10 Clean air filter.
11 Check Condenser Gas leakage and pressure.

To minimize ice build-up inside of freezer:


 Locate the freezer away from drafts or heating/cooling vents.
 Keep the number of door openings to a minimum .
 Minimize the length of time door is open.
 Make sure door latches securely after opening.
