W04 Application Activity: Learning Plan

Overview
This week, much of your Life Skill Lesson was focused on Learning Strategies and the power they have to improve your
learning process. Your Application Activity this week will invite you to identify something about your learning that you
might have a fixed mindset about-- something you fear might get in the way of your success in reaching your educational
goals.

You will then be invited to select one of the six Learning Strategies (i.e. acting on the promptings of the Holy Ghost,
making your brain work hard, using distributed learning, creating clues, asking good questions, teaching to learn) or one
of the five principles of the Learning Model (i.e. exercise faith, teach by the spirit, lay hold on the word of God, take
action, and love, serve, and teach) that you learned about this week and use it to develop a Learning Plan designed to
help you achieve your educational goals.

In your W02 Application Activity, you had the opportunity to answer this question: Why am I enrolled in
PathwayConnect? A natural follow-up to that question might be the following: What do I hope to achieve as a result of
my enrollment in PathwayConnect?

I hope to achieve with Pathway
Connect to have greater preparation
to enter the University. I received my
piano teacher in my country. Here I
want to continue studying my career
in music.
I must pass the toelf exam and give
my all. Every career requires
sacrifices and a lot of effort, nothing
is easy.
Making our brain work hard is like
exercising a muscle. Today we live as
in a world full of facilities, automated.
Reading a book is better than just
watching videos or listening to audio
books, pods, etc. For me, I need to
improve my English, I have to work a
lot on my mind, it really is difficult
and not easy, but I trust that our
mind is very capable of developing
skills to learn a different language.

1. How do you plan to apply the Learning Strategy or Learning Model principle you selected to your learning next
week? What specific steps do you intend to take? (3-4 sentences)

One of my biggest challenges is time. Working and studying is not easy. The steps that will help me in the
coming weeks to acquire study techniques and achieve a better performance of my brain are to set an established study
schedule, second to select the place where I am going to study, third to get rid of all possible distractions, finally, before
From beginning to study, make a prayer to the Lord asking for his help and understanding.

2. How will you measure your success in that application (i.e. how will you know if you made progress toward
reaching your overall goal)? (1-2 sentences)

I measure my success with the results obtained. Although the result does not determine my success, it helps me
make the necessary reforms or changes to improve, for example, if after applying the study techniques, the time, the
place for the learning to be effective and I still do not get the results I want, I only make small adjustments and continue.
