Narrative Report

In the face of unprecedented challenges brought about by the physical

facilities, Bagong Silang Elementary School have had to adapt rapidly to ensure that
learning continues. One of the innovative approaches employed to overcome the lack
of classroom access is the implementation of Print Modular Learning. It aims to shed
light on the experiences, challenges, and successes encountered during the adoption
of this alternative learning method.

The implementation of Print Modular Learning was to ensure that education

remains accessible to all learners, even in areas where classroom facilities were
lacking. The rationale was to provide a structured and comprehensive learning
experience through Self learning Modules, printed Activity Sheets and other resources.

To reach learners, distribution mechanisms were established. Where in

learners are given activities and other learning materials every week which they will
need to accomplished during their scheduled time of modular session. In my case, I
always gave my activities to Grade 4-Bonifacio in their Mathematics 4 every Monday
and the submission is during Friday of the same week.

Teachers had to adapt their teaching methods significantly. They focused on

creating clear instructions, supplementing modules with video lessons and holding
online sessions to clarify doubts if possible and even having an open line

communication thru personal chats and group chats to cater learner’s needs. They
faced challenges in assessing students' understanding without in-person interaction.

Print modular learning, despite its challenges, served as a critical bridge to

maintain educational continuity during the pandemic. The experience highlighted the
importance of adaptability, effective communication, and collaboration to ensure the
success of alternative learning methods. Moving forward, integrating lessons learned
from this experience will aid in further enhancing and refining the effectiveness of
print modular learning, potentially revolutionizing educational approaches in the
future.
