FIGURE 1-6: Age-Sex Population Pyramid in the Philippines from 2017-2022.

The Philippines' Age-Sex Population Pyramid from 2017 to 2022 is shown in Figures 1 to 6. During the past ten years, the population of the entire country has steadily increased, with the smallest population
gain recorded in 2017 (106,738,501 individuals) and the biggest in 2022 (115,559,00008). Ages 0 to 4 have the highest population from 2017 to 2022, but the proportion for the subsequent years has
decreased from 5.7% of males and 5.3% of females in 2017 to 5.5% of men and 5.2% of females in 2018. 5.5% of males and 5.1% of females have been unchanged throughout the years 2019–2020.

Male population decreased to 5.4% in 2021, while female population stayed at 5.1%. While the female population fell to 5.0% in 2022, the male population remained at 5.4%. In addition to these findings, older
persons aged 85 to 89 experienced the lowest population increase among the following years, with a constant 0.1 percentage for both sexes.
The age-sex population pyramid is important to track and understand overall because it has a significant impact on the community's health care delivery system.

Statistics show that we should pay more attention to children between the ages of 0 and 4 by giving them vaccines and checkups to prevent them from getting sick now and having serious health problems
later in life. For example, the high proportion of children aged 0–4 in the population suggests that we should give more attention to children between the ages of 0–4. There aren't many older people in
comparison to everyone else because they only make up a small part of the population. In order to stop the death rate from rising, it is crucial that the healthcare system recognizes their requirements and
offers the treatments they require. The healthcare system can ensure that everyone in the community is receiving the care they need and deserve by doing this.
