OBE Syllabus-Social Work

COURSE TITLE : Social Welfare Agency Management


DESCRIPTION :
The course is designed to present a broad theoretical foundation of Social welfare agency
management. As a three (3) unit course in the Bachelor’s degree program, it aims at enabling
the students to conceptualize major areas of human service administration. It gives focus to
administrative responsibilities, supervisory functions and provides training for beginning
competency in supervising paraprofessionals. Simple cases using the experiences of the
students will be looked into in an attempt to apply certain theories in administration.

CREDIT UNITS : 3 units
PREREQUISITES : Introduction to Social Work, Social Work Policies, Programs & Services

Adheres to the global standards for social work education and training but particularizes in
contextualized and indigenous nature of social work practice
