Simple Paragraph

Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of: Pre-colonial Philippine


literature as a means of connecting to the past; various reading styles; ways of
determining word meaning; the sounds of English and the prosodic features of speech;
and correct subject-verb agreement.

Performance Standard: The learner transfers learning by: showing appreciation for the
literature of the past; comprehending texts using appropriate reading styles;
participating in conversations using appropriate context- dependent expressions;
producing English sounds correctly and using the prosodic features of speech effectively
in various situations; and observing correct subject- verb agreement.

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, 95% of the students should be able to:
a. identify the important parts of a paragraph;
b. express appreciation in writing paragraphs; and
c. evaluate statements relevant to a paragraph writing.

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
o Opening prayer
o Checking of attendance
o Daily Routine. Classroom management and management of learner’s
behavior (Objective 5 PPST 2.6.2) Instruct the learners to arrange their
seats, pick up pieces of paper, sit properly. Remind them to always be
careful.
o Presentation of the lesson objectives.
o Introduction of the new lesson.
o A paragraph is one of the greatest tools you have in organizing
your writing. It shows the structure of your thoughts. In today’s
lesson, we will study how real writing is done.
B. MOTIVATION
o Present the following questions to the learners.
