About the role

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for

embedding automation and intelligence within business to enhance
reporting and monitoring activities. The role expects a strong
commitment in a challenging environment.
You will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of working in
similar roles covering all aspects modelling, pipeline development
etc.

Key responsibilities

As the Data Analytics Engineer you will be responsible for:

  Collaboration with various teams to gather requirements,
analyse data sources, and design visually appealing and
interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI
 Building new data pipelines to ingest data to drive decisions
 Developing robust data models by importing, transforming, and
manipulating data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy
and consistency
 Onboarding new sources of data through a mixture of Python
and native connectors like Fivetran and being the subject matter
expert on their schemas/contents
 Designing and creating customised reports and visualisations
that effectively communicate complex data insights to
stakeholders, enabling them to make informed business
decisions.

Essential experience & skills

and skills will help you thrive in this role:
 Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in related fields
such as Business Intelligence, Data Science, Data Mining, or
Computer Science
 Proven experience as a Data Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist,
or similar role in the financial services industry, preferably with
experience of financial markets
 Business Intelligence, analytics and metric experience
 Excellent data management and modelling skills using industry-
leading technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Python,
Power BI and PySpark
 Proficiency in Python with packages such as Pandas, NumPy,
SciPy, Matplotlib, and Plotly
 Experience with DevOps platforms, especially Azure DevOps,
Azure Function Apps and Azure Blob Storage
 Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or
Java, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and
modelling
 Experience with web frameworks such as Flask and Django will
be advantageous
 Experience with SQL and/or no-SQL databases
 General understanding of object structures, API management,
and data storage in Salesforce
 Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the
ability to effectively convey technical information to both
technical and non-technical stakeholders
 Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
