About our Client

 Our client’s company is a fintech company specialising in digital payments; they

provide domestic and cross-border corporate payment solutions for B2B and B2C
segments.
 They also operate XNAP, a cross-border C2B QR payment network. Headquartered
in Singapore, their company is a Non-Bank Financial Institution participant of
Singapore’s PayNow and FAST network.
 They operate the e-money app for consumers, and provide acquiring services that
enable merchants to offer enhanced digital payment experiences to users.
 Our client’s company is regulated as a Major Payment Institution by the Monetary
Authority of Singapore.

Responsibilities

 Analyse raw data and data models and support continuous improvement of data
models and data sources
 Define, build and maintain data sets
 Design and build processes that support data transformation, workload management,
data structures, dependency, and metadata
 Lead data mining and collection procedures
 Support analytic systems and ensure quality and integrity of data
 Monitor all data operations to identify potential issues and proactively trigger
corrective actions
 Support the administration and maintenance of existing databases

Job requirements

 5+ years of experience working in data engineering/software development

 Degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Data Science or a related field
 Ability to build and optimize data sets, ‘big data’ data pipelines, and architectures
 Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets
 Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management,
data structures, dependency, and metadata
 Demonstrated understanding and experience using software and tools including big
data tools like Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop; relational NoSQL and SQL databases including
Oracle and Postgres
 Solid experience workflow management and pipeline tools such as Airflow, Luigi, and
Azkaban; AWS close services including Redshift, RDS, EMR and EC2
 Good understanding of stream-processing systems like Spark-Streaming and Storm;
and object function/object-oriented scripting languages including Scala or/and Python
 Strong organizational and leadership skills
 Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders
