Columbian Exchange One Pager Directions

A one pager is a single page response that shows your understanding of a concept. It is a way
of representing your understanding in a creative and analytical manner. The purpose of a one
pager is to express your own ideas about a topic to help you create your own understanding of
the concept.

For this one pager you will read the article from the Khan Academy about the Columbian
Exchange. It is on my website. Follow the directions below to complete the one pager. Be sure
to click the blue “health results as contacts” on the bottom of the website to answer the last
question.

Include the title of the article as the title on the top of your one pager.
A. Be sure to fill up the entire page with words and pictures.
B. Answer the following questions on your one pager.
1. Which two foods had the biggest impact on the diet of Afro Eurasians and Americans
Pick two from each place and explain their impact.
2. Define both Mercantilism and the Columbian Exchange according to the Khan
Academy article.
3. How did the introduction of horses change life in the Americas?
4. Explain the impacts of disease on the Americas.
5. Name one positive and one negative consequence of The Columbian Exchange.
C. You can include one large detailed picture (be sure it is not too graphic or gory) or a few
smaller pictures. YOU NEED TO DRAW AND COLOR YOUR PICTURES AS BEST AS YOU
