Functions and duties of Registrar

i. be the custodian of the common seal and the academic records of the
University;
ii. maintain a register of the graduates of the University in the prescribed
manner;
iii. conduct election of various bodies and Authorities in the prescribed
manner and as per program approved from Vice Chancellor;(such as
election of senate and ASA etc.)
iv. be the Secretary of the senate, Syndicate, the Academic Council,
Advanced Studies & Research Board, the Selection Board and the other
statutory committees as may be prescribed. he will issue meeting notice/
agendas and record an issue minutes thereof.

v. Prepare and update the statutes and regulations approved by the authorities
time to time and make these available to all members of the authorities
and officers of the university.

vi. Coordinate and prepare the annual academic calendar of the university.

vii. Supervise and get the annual report of the university prepared and present
this before senate as prerequisite for approval of budget.

viii. Sign the agreement and authenticate records on behalf of the university
subject the decisions of authorities of the university.

ix. Supervise the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff in the


university, conduct the selection boards and issue appointment orders of
selected candidate after seeking the approval from competent for a.

x. Organize training and orientation of non-teaching employees in the


university

xi. He shall exercise general control and supervision over such employees of
the university as may be provided in act, statutes and regulations.

xii. Conduct correspondence on behalf of the university.

xiii. He may seek information in regard to any matter of the university from the
dean, treasurer, controller and any other officer of the university for
submission to the provincial or federal government, hed, PHEC, HEC,
bureau of statistics and other agencies on their request.
xiv. Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations for enrolment procedure
and management as required by HEC, PEC and other regulatory bodies by
maintaining active liaison with QEC of the university

xv. Creating active liaison with P&D department and other stakeholders for
preparation and implementation of Strategic plan of the university

xvi. Registrar shall also maintain the record of faculty of the university,
principals of affliated colleges, record of affiliated colleges and their
enrolment.
