PAK BELALANG

guess who am i. The clue is i can jump, i make a sound like ngiik ngiiik, and i can do a magic!
Yes! Belalang! Eiiits, not just stop there Ladies and Gentleman. I’m Mutia Apriliyani from MAN
1 pekanbaru and now I will telling you the story entitled Pak Belalang but in melayu version.

We go with, long ago lived a poor man. His name is pak belalang, he only lived with his
son. He was named by pak belalang because his son named belalang. Pak belalang always wore a
high peci because he is a nujum. Pak belalang can do such a powerful magic! He is the famous
nujum in the kingdom.
One day, Pak belalang had a guest, a married couple. The guest wanted Pak belalang to
make his wife to born a girl, because they already had 5 sons.
“pak belalang ooo pak belalang, my wife is pregnant now and i want the child become a
girl!”
Pak belalang said, “hmm let me see! Belalang! Bring me a water” then he did some of
weird action. “hohoho, your wife will have a boy not girl!”
“oh please pak belalang! I would do anything to get babygirl! Anything! Please pak
belalang”
Hahahaha, pak belalang laughed. The guest would do anything for him?
“ofc you can, but with conditions.... your wife can only eat and drink a pink stuff, wear a pink
stuff, and every week you must sent a chicken to me so the magic will stay on your wife”
After that, everyweek pak belalang can eat a chicken. Also surprisingly, the wife
gavebirth to a babygirl! Could you imagine? Pak belalang made the wife to born a babygirl! the
rumor about pak belalang magic has spread, everyone were talking about his magic! Can you
heard the gossip?
“do you know pak belalang?....”
“I saw it, pak belalang really has the magic!”
Hm hm hm, well he did become famous after All. Even the king called Pak Belalang to
the palace to meet him.(tetetetetet)
“Pak belalang, I have heard some rumors that you could do a magic. Is that true?”
With confidently, he answered. “Yes king! I’m a powerfull Magician”
“well then, I had lost several gold. Because you said that you had power since then I want
you find my gold. I’ll give you 7 days to find it”
ALAMAK! Pak belalang in frustration can’t refused the king request! But how he
supposed to do? The king doesn’t tell him how many the gold! Pak Belalang knew that if he
could not find the jewelry, he would be punished. He would go to jail.
 Pak Belalang went to every place to find the jewelry, he check the palace and every place
in the kingdoom. But, hee still could not find them.
“hadooo, belalaang what should i do? I’ll go to jail. Help me la belalang….”
“fathe, calm down-calm down. Don’t be sad, i’ll help you”
“hey, stupid la you! I ask for your help! Not to calm down! Your father ni will go to the
jail la! Hadoo belalaang help me please”
to help his dad, belalang then walk out of the house to find the gold.. He went to the
forest Untill he found a cave! And there’re people in there!
“Who are they? What they want to do in that cave? Huh? A black box?”
In the cave.
“It’s been six days, we can share now the gold! Here let me count. One for you and one
for me. Two for you and two for me!”-Thieves 1
“Heh? Why do you have so much than me? You stupid or what? Here let me count”-
thieve 2
“One for you and one for me, two for you and two for me”-thieve 2
“Heh! You’re cheated ya! Why you got 3 i got 2?!”-thieve 1
“Aish, just put it back to the box! We’ll count again tomorrow after pak belalang got into
jail” said one of them.
From there Belalang then immediately ran to tell his dad. He told everything that the two
thieves hides the gold on the cave, in the black box! It’ll saved pak belalang’s life and their
family life!
The next day, when the king called pak belalang to ask him about the gold. Pak belalang
with a nice suit come to the palace. (Tetetetete)
“So pak belalang? How was the gold? Where’s it?”
“Ofc i can! I’m the famous nujum! Your Gold was in the black box right?” The king was
really shock!
“HUH? How can u know?!”
“dont you forgot im a nujum! Ofc i know! The gold was stolen by two thieves and was
hidden in the cave near the forest”
After that, The king quickly send guards to check the cave. The two thieves with the box
of gold was found! Because of this case, pak belalamg become so rich. What a good story! But
wait, the honest is Pak belalang never had the magic! He wasn’t a nujum at all! He just lucky
from the start and also because of his son help he can be rich now!
 Cause Pak belalang doesn’t want to lie anymore. with the money he got, he and belalang
move to other town, quietly without telling anyone so the villagers feel like they were just a
ghost!
