FINAL FANTASY XVI is a brand-new standalone title in the iconic FINAL FANTASY franchise,
welcoming both new players and existing fans alike into a high fantasy world where the fate of
the land is decided by mighty creatures known as Eikons and the men and women who control
them—Dominants. The story follows Clive Rosfield, a skilled swordsman and First Shield of
Rosaria, tasked with the protection of his younger brother Joshua—Dominant of the Phoenix.
Unexpected events, however, set our hero on the dark and dangerous road to revenge.

• Dark Fantasy World – In this modern take on medieval fantasy, players will be
transported to the land of Valisthea, a world ruled by tyranny and turmoil. For
generations people have flocked to the great nations that have formed around the
Mothercrystals and an uneasy peace has reigned between them. Yet as the crystals'
power wanes, that peace now falters as the nations vie to claim those few that remain.
Amidst this chaos, there are those who would fight back to take control of their fate.

• Dynamic Action-based battles – Players will control Clive as he battles against his
enemies in intense real-time action combat.

• Powerful Eikons - The Eikons are the most powerful and deadly creatures in Valisthea
and each resides within a Dominant—a single person blessed with the ability to call
upon their dread power. A cast of hallmark summons from the FINAL FANTASY
franchise, including the mighty Ifrit, Garuda, Titan and more, appear in massive form in
this latest iteration.
