EXT.

OUT-DOOR RESTAURANT

We see a well-lit, empty restaurant. A singular table sits in the

middle of the outside area. Into the frame walks the WAITER,
approaching the table and laying it for two. Emerging from the
interior of the restaurant, walks the MAN. We do not see the face of
the man, only his entirely black formal outfit. The MAN sits at the
table, his face remains un-seen.

EXT. RESTAURANT ENTRANCE

We see the entrance to a small romantic restaurant. Into the

restaurant walks OLIVIA, a young woman dressed in casual clothing
with a phone to her ear.

INT. RESTAURANT RECEPTION

Olivia walks into the restaurant with her phone still to ear.

OLIVIA
Ok, I love you too grandma. Bye.

She hangs up the phone and approaches the reception desk.

OLIVIA (cont’d)
Hi there, I’m afraid I’m a bit early however I wondered
whether there is a table prepared under reservation for
Flynn Matthews.

The WAITER escorts the woman to the out-door area.

EXT. RESTAURANT OUT-DOOR AREA

Olivia walks over to the table where ‘FLYNN’ is sat. We see a full
profile of ‘FLYNN’- a well-dressed young man sat assertive in
nature. He glances intriguingly towards Olivia and abruptly stands
to welcome her. As Olivia walks up to the man, he leans towards her
in a provocative manner. Taken back slightly, Olivia (uncomfortably)
settles for a hug.

THE MAN
It’s so great to finally meet you Olivia-
Jones.

The man pulls out the chair opposite him and commands her to sit in
it. Olivia- somewhat in shock to the bizarre nature of the man- sits
cautiously in the chair whilst maintaining a false smile.

OLIVIA
It’s very nice to meet you too- this-
is such as lovely place.

Olivia looks around to the seemingly perfect yet empty seating area,
she turns her focus back to the man- he remains solely focused on
her.
OLIVIA (cont’d)
With such a nice place you’d expect it
to be a bit busier, no?

THE MAN
Oh, that’s just because I booked this-
area.

Olivia leans back in her chair, taken back from the man yet holding
a false laugh.

OLIVIA
You did?

THE MAN
Yes, I thought it would be quite nice-
for the two of us to have this area to
ourselves.

OLIVIA (flattered)
You didn’t have to do that.

Olivia leans forward in intrigue; she prepares to speak. Before she

starts talking, she is cut off by the WAITER standing beside the
man.

WAITER
What can I get for you on this fine-
evening.

OLIVIA
Oh, I’m fine with my wat-

Once again, Olivia is cut-off but this time by the man.

THE MAN
I’ll have a whiskey sour, and she’ll have a –
Rum- no wait- a rum and coke.

OLIVIA
Oh no I don’t drink.

THE MAN
Please I insist.

OLIVIA
Oh, go on then, but it better be a single-
and not a double.

WAITER
Marvellous choice.

As the waiter leaves the table, the man taps him twice and his arm.
We follow the waiter through the restaurant and prepare the drinks
from behind the waiter’s view- not allowing us to see exactly what
he is preparing. Once finished he begins to walk back to the table.
As he walks past the reception desk, he is stopped by a man dressed
nearly identical to the other man – FLYNN MATTHEWS.

FLYNN
Sorry to bother you sir, I had a reservation-
for a table of two. I’m supposed to be meeting,
a girl. Do you by any chance know if she has arrived
already.

WAITER
Well, what does she look like?

FLYNN
I actually don’t know, we met online.

WAITER
Then how am I supposed to know what
she looks like?

FLYNN
Well, it doesn’t seem too busy around
here have you seen any girls arrive
asking for a Flynn Matthews.

WAITER
As a matter of fact, sir. A woman did
arrive around ten minutes ago however
she left five minutes ago with another
man.

Flynn stands back in despair.

FLYNN
Right then, have a nice evening.

Flynn exits the building. The waiter continues to the out-door area.
Back at the table, the two are continuing their conversation. Olivia
remains reserved.

THE MAN
But enough about me, please Olivia tell
me about you.

The waiter places the two drinks on the table, as he walks away, he
taps the man twice on his shoulder. The two pick up their glasses.
Olivia lifts her drink to her mouth. The man looks excited.

OLIVIA (over her glass)

One drink can’t hurt.

CUT TO BLACK.
The screen remains black yet sounds emerge from the darkness. We
hear Olivia breathing heavily in fear. We hear failed attempts to
start a lighter until she succeeds, the single lit lighter
illuminates the screen revealing an empty room and Olivia alone.

CUT TO BLACK.
