FOREVER CAMPING

WRITTEN BY

SCENE ONE: EXT. FIELD – MIDDAY

A friend group of 6 teenagers are walking through a field


finding a place to pitch their tents. The group consists of 3
boys and 3 girls. It is a nice day with low winds. The grass
is a mix of green and trees placed around the place.

The group are wondering round the field, MATILDA (17), LOLA
(18) and EZRA (17) are at the front of the group. While BLAKE
(18), ARCHIE (17) and Zoe follow closely behind.

FADE IN.

MUSIC STARTS (LOW AND BASSY)

MATILDA

Right boys you set up there and well go here.

BLAKE

Oh, by the way I’ve got my own tent.

ARCHIE

What do you mean you have your own tent?

EZRA

What’s wrong with snuggling next to me.

BLAKE

That’s Lola’s job mate.

The group start setting up their tents. They are building


poles and hammering pegs into the ground. They have music in
the background.

FADE OUT.

SCENE TWO: EXT. A FIELD – EVENING

They have finished setting up the tents. They are sitting


around on the floor playing cards. While doing this, LOLA
suggests taking a photo of the whole group. They set the
camera up to face them and then they take the picture. They
gather around the picture and talk about how nice of a photo
it is, etc.

FADE IN

SCENE THREE: EXT. A FIELD – EVENING

The group are playing with a ball while the sun is setting,
they are also drinking alcohol. They have a speaker on which
is blasting music while they are doing this.

CUT IN

SCENE FOUR: EXT. IN A BUSH IN A FIELD – EVENING

The group are still having fun but this time they are seen
doing all this from inside a bush, from a perspective of
something else.

CUT IN

SCENE FIVE: EXT. IN A FIELD AROUND THE CAMPFIRE – NIGHT

They are trying to make a fire. Some of them are collecting


small sticks from nearby while other are piling them together
and making the fire’s structure. They light the fire and sit
down with drinks. They are roasting marshmallows too.

While this is all happening, there are the sounds of ambient


chatter from the characters. The wind in the background, an
owl sound can also be heard. EZRA is playing the guitar while
a few others are quietly singing along to the song he is
playing too. The fire is crackling.

CUT IN

SCENE SIX: EXT. IN A FIELD AROUND CAMPFIRE – NIGHT

There is a strange creaking noise that can be heard coming


from in the trees. They notice it. EZRA stops playing the
guitar and they all go quiet for a second.

CUT IN

ZOE

Oi did anyone else hear that.

EZRA

It’s probs just the trees or something.

BLAKE

It’s probs nothing.

LOLA

Guys stop messing, I didn’t hear anything.

MATILDA

I didn’t hear nothing.

ARCHIE
Na same.

They shrug it off and carry-on toasting marshmallows, while


EZRA starts playing his guitar again.

SCENE SEVEN: EXT. IN THE TREES NEXT TO THE FIELD – NIGHT

The friends are scene from inside the trees. They all seem
quite happy.

The guitar has gotten softer and there is a low vibrating


noise.

CUT IN

SCENE EIGHT: EXT. A FIELD – NIGHT

The group are putting out the fire and are turning their
torches on. Everyone is getting in their tents.

CUT IN

BLAKE

I’m gonna go piss quick.

ERZA

Alright mate. See you later.

MATILDA

Stay safe, see you in the morning.

SCENE NINE: EXT. A PATH – NIGHT

As BLAKE is walking to the toilets, he keeps looking around at


the bushes. He has a blank expression on his face though.

There are sounds of bushes rustling. And an ambient low music.


The music builds up.

He looks round again suddenly as it builds up.

CUT IN

SCENE TEN: EXT. A FIELD – MORNING

Everyone is getting out of their tents. BLAKE’s tent is still


closed. LOLA and EZRA are already making breakfast together.
ARCHIE leaves to go on a run.

There is a sizzling coming from where EZRA and LOLA are making
breakfast. MATILDA and ZOE are chatting in the background.

CUT IN

ARCHIE

I’m gonna go for a quick run. See you lot in a sec.

EZRA

Alright, we’ll save some food for when you get back.

ARCHIE

Thanks mate.

ARCHIE runs off using a path to go for his run.

SCENE ELEVEN: EXT. A PATH – MORNING

ARCHIE is running through the woods, he hears a few weird


noises, looks about but carries on.

CUT IN

SCENE TWELVE: EXT. A FIELD – MORNING

The group are talking while eating breakfast. Blake isn’t


there though. They look at his tent and it is still closed.

There is a quiet wind.

CUT IN

ZOE

Anyone seen Blake this morning.

EZRA

Nah. He’s probs still asleep. I say just leave him, he’ll
wake up when he smells food, the fatty.

SCENE THIRTEEN: EXT. A PATH – MORNING

ARCHIE is seen running again, he hears another weird sound


from the bushes and looks to his right, he trips up. Someone’s
hand goes to grab his ankle, but he gets up in time to dodge
the hand. He dusts himself off and carries on knowing.

CUT IN

SCENE FOURTEEN: EXT. A FIELD – MORNING

ARCHIE arrives back to the camp with the others, he grabs his
food, and the others are just talking sat around.

There are ambient talking sounds.

CUT IN

ZOE

Blakes been sleep for ages. Someone go wake him up.

EZRA

Yeah calm.

ZOE goes over to BLAKE’s tent and hits it.

ZOE starts shaking Blakes tent.

ZOE

Oi Blake wake up.

BLAKE doesn’t answer.

ZOE

Alright I’m coming in.

ZOE opens the tent to see that BLAKE isn’t inside. She gets
shocked and shouts at the others.

ZOE

Where the fuck is Blake.

Everyone gets worried, ARCHIE puts down his food and they all
go over to the tent. MATILDA try to call him but there isn’t
any signal.

LOLA

Has anyone seen him since last night?

OMG what if he’s been taken.

ARCHIE

Let’s be real he probs went for a wonder this morning. I


mean he did drink quite a bit.

MATILDA

Just open his tent already, he’s probs playing some sick
game to scare us.

EZRA

You lot are so dumb man.

MATILDA and ARCHIE check about in BLAKE’s tent. ARCHIE finds a


piece of paper with writing on it.

ARCHIE

I found some note he left. I don’t know kinda strange,


but it says Sorry family emergency I had to go home. Have
a good time. See you all soon.

ZOE

Thank god. At least he’s not been taken hey.

(looks at Lola)

Can’t believe he’s left us to take his things home


though.

SCENE FIFTEEN: EXT. A FIELD – NIGHT

The group are sitting around the campfire chatting. EZRA isn’t
playing the guitar.

The fire is crackling. There is wind which is making the trees


and bushes rustle.

CUT IN

LOLA

Right, I know he went home but I’m still scared if he got


taken. What if it was a fake note or something.

EZRA

Lola stop worrying, he hasn’t been taken. But if you


still feel scared let’s make a rule when any of us goes
somewhere, we have to stay in a pair.

LOLA

Yeah I guess that will help.

The fire seems to be dying out a bit.

MATILDA

The fires dying out, I’m gonna go get some firewood.


Archie wanna come?

EZRA

Don’t get taken. HAHA

EZRA laughs after he makes his silly comment because he knows


it will wind up LOLA.

MATILDA

Oi don’t be mean.

EZRA

Don’t lie you found that funny.

MATILDA

Let’s go Archie.

SCENE SIXTEEN: EXT. A FOREST – NIGHT

ARCHIE and MATILDA walk into the forest. They then split up
and start to gather wood.

Twigs and stepping on crunching leaves on every footstep.

ARCHIE bends down to get some wood. He tries to tell MATILDA


that he has found a lot of good wood, because he can hear
footsteps coming up behind him.

CUT IN
MUSIC STARTS

ARCHIE

Tilda, you better hurry up before I collect more than


you.

He doesn’t get an answer and the footsteps stop just behind


him.

ARCHIE

Matilda?

Why are you ignoring me?

Mat…

As he goes to turn round, he tries to say her name again but


he gets stopped by a cloth being put over his mouth. He
struggles really hard and tries to scream.

SCENE SEVENTEEN: A FOREST – NIGHT

As MATILDA is getting some wood, she turns around when she


hears ARCHIE’s struggling screams. She looks worried and drops
the wood. She is running back to the group.

CUT IN

MATILDA

Guys help!

Archies gone.

He’s been …

She trips over the rope and hits her head on the floor.

SCENE EIGHTEEN: A FIELD – NIGHT

ZOE is looking at her phone. EZRA and LOLA are talking to each
other. They hear MATILDA scream, and all turn around to
investigate the forest. LOLA is freaking out.

CUT IN

LOLA

What the fuck!

That sounds like Tilda.

SCENE NINETEEN: A FOREST – NIGHT

MATILDA is being tied up with rope, she is then pulled off the
shot.

CUT IN

SCENE TWENTY: A FIELD – NIGHT

The last 3 are still stressing out. LOLA is panicking to EZRA.

CUT IN

ZOE

Erm come look at the photo we took earlier.

She shows the other two the photo on her phone of the group,
which only has them 3 and Blake in it.

EZRA

Zoe stop playing with us get the real group photo.

LOLA

Ezra you really think she’d be the one joking around when
she’s been the most paranoid.

ZOE

What the fuck. The polaroid’s changed too.

LOLA

Ok someone must be playing a prank on us. Let’s find


Tilda and Archie and go home.

SCENE TWENTY-ONE: A FIELD – NIGHT

The fire get blown out. Their torches also have been turned
off.

There are gusts of wind that can be heard and footsteps


running. There is then a muffled scream and noises that sounds
like something is being dragged into a bush. There are sounds
of them hitting their torches to try to make them turn back on
again. And them shouting.

CUT IN

SCENE TWENTY-TWO: A FIELD – NIGHT

Their torches flicker back on to see a trail of blood on the


floor which leads into the bushes.

There is dramatic music in the background at this point which


creates tension in the scene.

CUT IN

EZRA

Lola! Noooo!

ZOE

Ezra, we don’t have time, get into Blake’s tent, it’s


open! NOW.

They run over to the tent. They get in and zip it up.

SCENE TWENTY-THREE: INT. BLAKE’S TENT – NIGHT

EZRA and ZOE are in the tent, both sitting down and looking at
the door with their torches. EZRA is upset, whereas ZOE is
acting brave.

CUT IN

ZOE
Shut up. If you want to live, then be quiet. Then it
hopefully won’t find us.

EZRA

Erm Lola-

ZOE

She is gone now ok, what matters no is that we live.

A figure is seen outside of the tent, it keeps moving closer.


It looks as if it is holding a knife. The shadow disappears as
it gets to the door.

There were footsteps as the shadow approached, but they


stopped. You can faintly hear the quivering breaths of EZRA
and ZOE.

The zip starts unzipping and as it gets to around the top, ZOE
kicks out of the door and she hits something.

ZOE
Ezra, run, now!

SCENE TWENTY-FOUR: EXT. A FIELD – NIGHT

ZOE rushes out of the tent while the killer is on the floor.
She starts running. EZRA gets his foot stuck on BLAKE’s
sleeping bag. As she is running away, she hears screams. She
stops, frozen realising that she is the only one alive still.
She hears some footsteps quickly getting closer to her. She
looks behind her and the footsteps stop, the music also does.
When she looks back around to carry on running away, there is
a jump scare from the killer being there. She screams and runs
back in the opposite direction.

CUT IN

SCENE TWENTY-FIVE: EXT. A FIELD – NIGHT

There are many different quick shots of the chase between ZOE
and the killer.

CUT IN

SCENE TWENTY-SIX: EXT. A FOREST – NIGHT

As ZOE runs into the forest, she turns around to look how far
behind her the killer is, and when she turns back around, she
stops and freezes where she is, and sees all her friends

beaten and tied up around the tree. She was about to scream
but it gets held in by the killer’s hand going over her face.

KILLER

Now you get to join them. Forever.

She drops to the ground and the killer is holding a bloody


knife.

CUT IN

SCENE TWENTY-SIX: EXT. A FOREST – NIGHT

ZOE is getting tied up by the killer and is placed with the


rest of her friends that are dead. The killer takes something
out of ZOE’s pocket, it’s the polaroid picture. On the photo
is only BLAKE left. They start to burn the photo with a
lighter. They then take of their mask, and it is seen to be
BLAKE. He drops the photo that is burning onto the ground in
front of the dead bodies.

There is a slight crackle of the fire and some upsetting


music.

FADE OUT
