Product Analyst at Square Fashions Limited, data analysis skills are vital in understanding
customer needs, identifying trends, and making informed decisions regarding product
development and market strategy.

Importance of data analytics skills at Square Fashions Limited

As a product analyst at Square Fashions Limited, data analysis skills are essential for several
reasons. Data analytics skills allow us to identify trends and patterns in customer preferences and
buying behavior, which can then be used to develop new product lines or refine lines, existing
products. By analyzing customer data, we can better understand what types of products are
popular, which styles are in demand, and what features are most important to customers. This
information is crucial for developing new products that meet customer needs and preferences.
Data analysis can help to optimize production processes. By analyzing data on production
processes, we can identify areas where efficiency can be improved, reduce waste, and improve
quality control. By analyzing sales data and customer feedback, we can identify which products
are performing well and which ones are not. data analysis can help us to track the performance
of our products and make informed decisions regarding product development and market
strategy.

Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software such as Excel is essential
for effective data analysis. This tool allows us to create meaningful visualizations of the data and
perform statistical tests to validate assumptions and learn insights. So, data analysis skills are
critical for success in the RMG sector, and organizations like Square Fashions Limited rely
heavily on these skills to remain competitive in the global marketplace.

Identifying product Trends

To analyze trends in sales, production, inventory, and customer feedback, Square Fashion
Limited first collects data from various sources and records it in a table. They then use Excel to
create charts that display the data in a visual format. By creating line charts that show trends over
time, they can quickly identify patterns in the data.
By analyzing inventory trends, Square Fashion Limited can ensure they have the right products
in stock at the right time. They may create charts that show how inventory levels fluctuate over
time and use this information to make decisions about when to order new stock and how much to
order. This helps them avoid stockouts, reduce inventory costs, and optimize their supply chain.

As a product analyst at Square Fashion Limited, I conducted a trend analysis for the years 2021
and 2022 to identify any potential patterns or changes that may have occurred in the business.
To begin the analysis, I collected data on total sales, units sold, average selling price, cost of
goods sold, and gross profit for each month of the years 2021 and 2022. I used Excel to organize
and analyze the data, calculating the percentage change in each category for each month and for
the entire year. I then created a table to summarize the findings.
To visualize the trend analysis, I created a line chart in Excel using the percentage change data.
The x-axis represents the months of the year, while the y-axis represents the percentage change.
The chart shows the trend for each category of data over the two-year period, allowing me to
identify any patterns or trends that may have emerged.
During the analysis, I found that some months had a negative trend in both 2021 and 2022. This
may indicate a decrease in demand for certain products or other external factors affecting the
business. It is important for Square Fashion Limited to investigate these negative trends further
to identify any underlying issues and take corrective measures to improve performance.
The benefit of using data analytics skills in the RMG sector is significant. By analyzing trends
and tracking performance, Square Fashion Limited can make informed decisions and improve its
operations. They can optimize their production process, ensure they have the right products in
stock, and tailor their products and marketing to specific customer needs. This helps them stay
competitive in the fast-paced RMG industry and improve their bottom line.
Overall, the application of data analytics skills in the RMG sector, specifically at Square Fashion
Limited, can result in significant benefits for the organization. By tracking product trends,
optimizing inventory, managing risks, and segmenting customers, the company can make more
informed decisions and stay competitive in a constantly evolving market. The use of trend
analysis charts can provide a visual representation of this data, making it easier for decision-
makers to interpret and act upon the insights gained.

Product Forecasting
Square Fashion Limited is one of the leading RMG companies in Bangladesh and exports its
products worldwide. As a product analyst working for the organization, one of the primary
responsibilities is to analyze the sales and profitability of the products. Pivot tables are one of the
most effective tools for data analysis in Excel, and they can help organizations like Square
Fashion Limited to make data-driven decisions.
To better understand the RMG business of Square Fashion Limited in 2022, a pivot table was
created using the product data sheet. The pivot table showed the sum of profit for each product
category, region, and quarter of the year. The product categories included T-shirts, Shirts,
Denim, sweaters, and Jackets, while the regions included North America, Europe, Asia, and
Australia. The quarters of the year were categorized as Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4.

First, we gathered the necessary data for product forecasting, including total sales, units sold,
average selling price, cost of goods sold, gross profit, and trend, for the year 2022. We organized
this data in a spreadsheet, making sure that the columns were correctly labeled, and that the data
was accurately entered.
Next, we created a pivot table in Excel, selecting the relevant columns and rows to provide a
breakdown of profits by product category, region, and a quarter. We used the "sum" function to
add up the values for each category and region, and the "grand total" function to display the total
profit for the entire dataset.
The resulting pivot table allowed us to see the profitability of each product category quickly and
easily, as well as the total profits for each region and quarter. This information can be useful for
Square Fashion Limited in making decisions about which products to focus on, which regions to
target, and how to allocate resources.
Looking at the pivot table results, we see that the total profit for all products is $536,885.30. The
profits by product category are as follows: Denim - $68,255, Jacket - $117,862, Shirts -
$101,947.50, Sweater - $159,643.00, and T-shirts - $89,177.60.

The pivot table also revealed that the profits for each region were: APAC - $161,021.25, EMEA
- $94,940.75, North America - $136,465.60, and South America - $144,458.00. These figures
can help Square Fashion Limited identify which regions are most profitable and adjust their
marketing and sales strategies accordingly.
Finally, the pivot table provides profit totals for each of the four quarters. In the first quarter
(Jan-Feb-March), the profit was $99,719.35; in the second quarter, it was $120,658.80; in the
third quarter, it was $158,207.25; and in the fourth quarter, it was $158,300.50. This information
can help the company plan for seasonal fluctuations and adjust its production and inventory
accordingly.
In summary, the use of pivot tables is a powerful tool for analyzing large sets of data, allowing
us to quickly identify patterns and trends that would be difficult to discern otherwise. In this
case, the pivot table provided valuable insights into the profitability of Square Fashion Limited's
products, regions, and quarters, which can help the company make more informed business
decisions.

Cost Minimization of Square Fashions LTD

We have five customers, and Squares Fashions LTD running a business, we have customers, and
we have warehouses. So that we made a fulfillment for each customer from our warehouses. So,
consider that we have 5 customers here from one in six and each customer has his own orders
quantity. So Customer1 has 1500 quantity, Customer2 has 3200, Customer3 has 4500 and so on.
And we have 3 warehouses in our business, each warehouse has its own stock available. And we
need to make a fulfillment for each customer from the warehouses. The cost per unit for each
item for each customer from each warehouse is as follows so for example if I ship an item from
warehouse1 to customer1 that would cost me 5.4 taka, and if we ship an item from warehouse2
to customer2 that would cost me 8.4 taka and so on. So, we have a cost per unit for each
warehouse for each customer. So, what we need to do is make the best cost minimalization. So,
for example maybe we shipped the total amount the One Thousand Five Hundred from
warehouse two or warehouse three, so to do this solve we did use solver function. Since our
target is to do cost minimization so here we have the total, available stock and total cost. Our
target cell is total cost and target cells are the quantity order. Then we add three conditions to
solve our problem first, the total amount should be equal to each customer’s orders. Second is
from warehouse one, two or three it should be equal or less than the available stock and third
condition is, we don’t need any decimal number, we need whole number so that results will not
be separated or split that’s why we add an integer. Then we got our result here that the customer1
has 15000 items all from warehouse1 and customer2 has 32000 from warehouse2 while I didn’t
ship to customer3 any of his items 75000 instead I shipped 11000 from warehouse2, 50000 from
warehouse3, 14000 from warehouse4 the total will be 75000 that equal to his orders for
customer3 and same for customer4 the all from warehouse1 and customer5 has 55000 from
warehouse4 and also the same way for customer 6 that 2000 from warehouse1, 44000 from
warehouse2. This is the solution we got the minimum cost with 905450 total costs.

Profit Maximization

This data appears to be part of a larger analysis or sample. From the given profit maximization
data, we can analyze the from owing:

⮚ The company is involved in the production of shirts, denim, and jackets.

⮚ The production units per month for shirts, denim, and jackets are 4888.9, 20000, and

9000, respectively.

⮚ The total labor hours used in the production process are 10000.

⮚ The total production hours used in the production process are 1655.6.

⮚ The maximum allowable labor hours are not given in the data, but the maximum

allowable production hours are given in cell H12.

⮚ The constraints for the production units of monthly shirts, denim, and jackets are not

binding for denim and jacket, as their original values are equal to their final values, but
the constraint for shirts is not binding, as the slack value is 7111.1. This suggests that the
company can increase the production units of monthly shirts up to 7111.1 units without
violating the constraint.

⮚ The monthly profit totals are 458666.7, but we don't have any context to interpret this

value.
