Jack is a good friend, and August is the main character . Did you like them? I
didn’t like Julian, because he always tried to put Jack down, or make him feel bad.
How did they make you feel? Julian makes me feel angry, because he is always
bullying August and Jack.

younger, I would get bullied.

August, who are suffering like him.
How are events in this story similar to things that happen in the real world? People
sometimes get bullied for their “differences”, which is not nice, or helpful.
How are events in this story different from things that happen in the real world? In
the real world, it’s a very unlikely chance that someone will live exactly like
August, meaning that August’s life is different to ours.
Plot
What do you think are the major events of the novel? I think when Daisy dies is a
major event in the story. Where was the climax? August keeps on getting bullied.
Where were the resolutions? The resolution is that he talks to his mum about the
issues at school, and how he gets bullied occasionally. He also talked to her about
how the seventh graders made fun of him and stole his hearing aids.
Your opinions
What was your favourite part and why? When August gets the Henry Ward
Beecher award, because it’s was a surprise for me.
Were there any parts that made you laugh, or scared? I think when August and
Jack went into the woods was a bit scary, because I didn’t know what would
happen next.
Did you like the book? Is there anything you would change to make the story
better? I liked the book, because it was showing what the main person felt.. But I

Home and camp. In Miranda’s perspective, the settings where camp and Faulkner
