ABSTRACT
This research study entitled "Modular Distance Learning: Its Effect to
Prosocial and Emotional Behaviors of Teacher in Cajidiocan Central Elementary
School" was conducted at Central Elementary School, Cajidiocan, Romblon. The
purpose of this study is to determine the prosocial and emotional behaviors of the
teachers during the implementation of modular distance learning.
The researchers of this study started with the formulation of questionnaire,
which was submitted to their research adviser for correction and validation. They
requested permission from Dr. Carmelinda M. Juanzo, Campus Director of
Romblon State University, Cajidiocan Campus to conduct this study in the said
school.
Based on the findings obtained on this study, it was found out that the
implementation of modular distance learning is not easy for them but it has not
been an obstacle for teachers to be determined in the task. The teacher became
more understanding with his fellow teachers, parent and students. They also
formed good organization and had a broad understanding of things. Teachers
have been stressed but despite this, they continue to serve to meet the learning
of their students. They became more practical in everything in order to have a
better outcome in the performance of the students.
In addition, even though the teachers are experiencing fatigue, stress, and
frustration this is not a reason for them to be discouraged but they maintained

good relations with each other so that everyone can see that everyone is working
together just to survive the students' welfare during this pandemic.

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
This chapter presents the background of the study, statement of the
problem, significance of the study, scope and delimitation.
Background of the Study
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, modular distance learning took
place on a distance learning platform, on which the teacher provides the material
to be learnt and the students have to complete the same on their own. The
communication between the teacher and the students is done through the
communication tool provided by the platform. The Department of Education
(DepEd) employed Modular Distance Learning to assure learning continuity
(MDL). Self-Learning Modules (SLM) based on the Department of Education's
Most Essential Learning Competencies are used by students (MELCS).
The impact of distance education on teachers’ emotions has not been
extensively studied. The emotional turmoil of teachers can have a negative
impact on both the quality of their lessons and their ability to inspire their
students and to the socialization of the teacher to the parents and co-teacher.
This study will examine the effects of modular distance learning on the teachers'
prosocial behavior via the perspective of the teacher. The results will show that

the teachers' prosocial behavior and emotional behavior is significantly positively
related to modular distance learning and significantly negatively related to the
teachers' prosocial and emotional behavior. This study will provide a new
perspective from which to examine the effects between modular distance
learning and teachers' prosocial behavior and emotional behavior. Teachers are
also affected by the implementation of modular distance learning, but they are
not given the light to know the impact it has on teachers. Even in other studies,
students were more focused on this issue as if it had no effect on teachers.
Stress, more so than low pay, is the main reason public school teachers
quit. And now the coronavirus pandemic has increased the pressures put on
teachers and that is according to newly released data from the RAND
Corporation, which surveyed nearly 1,000 former public-school teachers in
December. Of those surveyed, 55 percent quit in the two school years leading up
to the pandemic, while the others left after March 2020. In both groups, most of
the teachers either resigned, retired early, or took an unpaid leave of absence
(Will. M, 2021). The USAID Tusome Pamoja (TP) Project in Tanzania is
pioneering SEL and safe school initiatives by including teachers during school
closures in continuing to develop their SEL abilities at home. The project was in
the middle of implementing a program called "Enabling a Safe School
Environment through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)" to build safe learning

environments and promote SEL in schools before COVID-19 shutdown (Bulat et
al., 2021).
The researcher wants to determine the effects of the modular distance
learning to the prosocial and emotional behaviors of the teacher in Cajidiocan
Central Elementary School and to gather reliable and first-hand information from
the respondents. This study will help teachers to be heard and give them chance
to show on how modular distance learning affects their prosocial and emotional
behaviors.
Statement of the Problem
This study entitled “Modular Distance Learning: Its Effects to the Prosocial
and Emotional Behavior of Teacher at Cajidiocan Central Elementary School”
aimed to determine the prosocial and emotional behavior of the teacher during
the implementation of modular distance learning.
Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:
1. What are the prosocial behaviors of the teacher-respondents during the
implementation of modular distance learning?
2. What are the emotional behaviors of the teacher-respondents during the
implementation of modular distance learning?
3. How does the Modular Learning effects the respondents in terms of:

Significance of the Study
This study aimed to provide a valid data about the effects of modular
learning to the prosocial and emotional behavior of teacher in Cajidiocan Central
Elementary School. It provides benefits to the following:
Administration. This research will assist them in gaining knowledge that
will be used to develop a plan for prioritizing teachers' prosocial and emotional
behaviors throughout the implementation of modular distance learning.
Teachers. As a results of the study's findings, teachers will be able to
broaden their knowledge and ideas while also developing new skills in coping
with their prosocial and emotional conduct toward others as a result of modular
distance learning.
Students. This research will assist students in gaining an understanding
of the consequences of modular distance learning on teacher prosocial and
emotional conduct, as well as managing their attitudes toward teachers.
Parents. This research will assist parents in understanding more about
the impact of modular distance learning on teachers' prosocial and emotional
behaviors, as well as the possible behavior of teachers while coping with the
implementation of modular distance learning.

Future Educators. The findings of the study will assist future educators in
understanding the potential consequences of implementing modular distance
learning on a teacher's prosocial and emotional behaviors. They may devise
ways for dealing with such situations and assist them in developing a better
solution to prevent some of the negative impacts of modular learning on their
prosocial and emotional behaviors.
Future Researchers. This study can help the future researchers to collect
data source from this can serve as a ready reference. The findings of the study
may offer them with the possibility to conduct a similar study that will serve as a
source of reference for the future researchers interested in the impact of modular
distance learning on the teacher's prosocial and emotional behavior at Cajidiocan
Central Elementary School.
Scope and Delimitation of the Study
This study focussed on the effects of the modular distance learning to the
prosocial and emotional behavior of the teachers in Cajidiocan Central
Elementary school. The key informants of this study will be the fourteen (14)
teachers teaching from grade one (1) to six (6) and at least two (2) years and
above in service. Significant findings of this study are used to be as basis for
formulating effects of modular learning the prosocial and emotional behavior of
the teachers in Cajidiocan Central Elementary School. The study was conducted
during the second semester of school year 2021-2022.

This study did not include other factors that affects the prosocial and
emotional behavior of the teachers in the implementation of modular distance
learning.
CHAPTER II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
This chapter presents information related from the study of the
researchers. This certainly helped in giving the researchers and readers a better
understanding of the background information related to this study.
Modular Distance Learning
Individualized education is provided using modular distance learning,
which allows students to employ self-learning modules (SLMs) in either print or
digital format/electronic copy, depending on their needs. Other resources, such
as Learner's Materials, textbooks, activity sheets, study guides, and other study
materials, are available to Modular Distance Learning students (Malaya, B.
2020).
In the Philippines, attempting to push through education amidst the deadly
pandemic caused by covid-19 has proven to be a difficult task. Despite many
objections, the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher
Education (CHED) adopted and implemented the flexible blended learning model
despite the risk of open classes due to the virus (Anzaldo. G, 2021).

Navarosa, D., & Fernando, C. (2020) Despite several objections, the
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education
(DepEd) accept and execute the flexible model of blended learning as the
country fights the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic. As classes
returned, unrelenting student complaints and instructors' uproar dominated the
news, highlighting the drawbacks that these learning methods provide.
Yes, according to the poll, this is 100 percent correct. The majority of
students complete their courses for the sake of formality. Knowing that students
are taking modules for granted is extremely demoralizing for a teacher. The fact
is that teachers are unable to anticipate their pupils' presence in their families.
Many parents indulge their children by completing all of the modules on their
own. The value of patience should be instilled in children by their parents. Some
parents engage tutors for their children, who respond to all of the courses.
Students are now technologically savvy, and they've taken advantage of it. They
create their own group conversations, passing the replies from one to the other
and copying them. This seems self-evident since students do it all the time, even
in face-to-face classrooms. Yes, this is very true and also very sad. The number
of students who say they didn't grasp much of what was taught in the courses
has increased. They even have trouble absorbing teachings when they are
taught face to face. The truth may be painful, but it is also the truth. When this
epidemic comes to an end, only time will tell. Although the current circumstance

is inconvenient, let us use it to push ourselves to continue working toward our
objectives. Because of the epidemic, education should not be stationary
(Helpline, 2020).
According to a survey conducted by the Department of Education, parents
who enrolled their children in the upcoming school year preferred distance
learning through printed and digital modules (DepEd). Parents and guardians
were required to complete the DepEd's Learner Enrollment and Survey Form
during the 45-day enrollment period in public schools, which concluded on July
15. It intended to profile the enrollee's readiness for remote education by asking
them about their preferred alternate learning style. According to the findings of a
survey issued by the Department of Education on Thursday, 8.9 million parents
prefer modular distance learning, in which kids’ study at home using self-learning
modules (Bernardo, J. 2020)
The launching of a school does not always imply traditional face-to-face
instruction in the classroom. According to guidelines from the Department of
Health (DOH), the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of
Emerging Infectious Diseases in the Philippines, and the Office of the President
(OP) Llego, MA, the physical opening will be determined by the risk severity
grading or classification of a specific community. (n.d).
The use of modules also encourages self-directed learning. It instructs
students to rehearse or practice information. Exercises are presented in a

sequence of tasks from easy to challenging to help students learn the principles.
The order in which the activities are presented formalizes the level of difficulty
that the students can achieve. Another advantage of utilizing modules for
education is that students develop greater self-study or learning abilities.
Students take an active role in understanding the topics provided in the subject.
They get a sense of responsibility as they complete the activities in the module.
The students’ progress on their own with little or no help from the teacher. They
are learning how to learn and are becoming more self-assured (Nardo, M. T. B.
2017).
In the Philippines, the Department of Education has implemented several
distant learning modes to allow students to continue their education despite the
epidemic. Distance learning is a type of learning delivery in which the teacher
and the students are separated geographically during teaching. Modular
Distance Learning (MDL), Online Distance Learning (ODL), and TV/Radio-Based
Instruction are three types of this modality. According to Stadler, Camargo, and
Maioli (2017), the variety in delivery methods allows teachers and students to
interact with content and process information synchronously or asynchronously.
Gurajena et al. (2021), on the other hand, contend that most institutions'
embrace of distant learning has limitations and obstacles. Sadeghi (2019),
backed this position, claiming that, like any other educational program, remote
learning has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Learners should

carefully evaluate these considerations before enrolling in any remote learning
program to ensure that they will receive an education that suits their unique
requirements, strengths, and professional ambitions.
Dubey & Pandey (2020) list several current issues with distance learning,
including: (a) the majority of learners live in remote rural areas; (b) a lack of
adequate infrastructure; (c) challenges in paradigm shift in thinking for distance
learning adoption; (d) access to technology; and (e) delivery readiness.
Additionally, students should have access to the internet and learning devices.
Staying at home can also cause issues (pandemic-related stress, anxiety,
depression, domestic violence, divorce, and pregnancy), which prevent students
and teachers from learning and teaching.
Theoretical Framework
The theoretical framework of this study draws a parallel connection with
John B. Watson’s Behavioral Theory. This theory aims to explain human
behavior by looking at the antecedents and consequences that exist in the
individual's environment, as well as the learned associations that he or she has
made through prior experience. Using the idea of Watson’s behavioral theory,
this study aims to determine and somehow explain the effects of the
implementation of modular distance learning to prosocial and emotional
behaviors of the teacher.

John B. Watson’s Behavioral Theory provided a basis for predicting the
effects of Modular Distance Learning (MDL) on the prosocial and emotional
behavior of teachers. By conducting this study, the researcher will be able to
seek answers that explain the effects of modular distance learning as they
experience during the implementation of this kind of learning style.

The research paradigm displayed the contributions from the research
subjects, the procedures on conducting the study, and the anticipated result or

As shown in Figure 1, the diagram presented the process of the study to
determine the effects to the prosocial and emotional behavior of teacher during
the implementation of modular distance learning. The inputs were the research
subjects, who are 14 teachers in Cajidiocan Central Elementary School and /their
experiences during the implementation of modular distance learning.
The effects of the modular distance learning to the prosocial and
emotional behavior of teachers determined through interviews. The main
rationale of the analysis and interpretation of data was the self-made research
instrument. With these processes, the researchers were able to provide
conclusions and recommendations for the people included in this study, whether
directly or indirectly.

Definition of Terms
The following words in this research are defined operationally as follows:
Effect. The perceived impact of the modular distance learning to the
prosocial and emotional behavior of the teacher in Cajidiocan Central Elementary
School.
Emotional Behavior. This pertains to the behavior of teacher of
Cajidiocan Central Elementary School on how they manage their emotion and
how they cope up to the implementation of modular distance learning.
Modular Distance Learning. The utilization of modules crafted or
adapted by the teacher with various tasks and learning activities based on the
fundamental learning abilities during the pandemic in Cajidiocan Central
Elementary School.
Prosocial Behavior. This pertains to the behavior of teacher of
Cajidiocan Central Elementary School on how they socialize towards their co-
teacher and parents of students during the implementation of modular distance
learning.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter describes how the study was conducted. It includes
the research design, research method, respondents of the study, research locale,
instrumentation, data collection, statistical treatment and analysis of data.
Research Design
The present study employed a qualitative research design. Data from first-
hand observation, interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, participant
observation, recordings made in natural settings, documents, and artifacts were
used in qualitative research. The information is mostly non-numerical.
Research Method
This study utilized phenomenology research design as this method helped
the researchers on acquiring relevant knowledge on the chosen topic.
Phenomenological research design is geared on the creation of unique content
for studies and had a distinctive form of presenting data. This was the most
compatible design to use due to its ability to generate in-depth analysis by

directly communicating with people and observing their behavior to extract
themes that describe the nature of the occurred phenomenon.
Moreover, the main factors in this study would be classified as dependent
and independent factors. The independent factor was the factor that cannot be
manipulated, thus affecting the dependent factor. Meanwhile, the dependent
factor was a factor that can be changed depending on the independent factor. In
this study, the independent factor was the modular distance learning (MDL)
implementation while the dependent factor was the prosocial and emotional
behavior of teachers.
Respondents of the Study
The Cajidiocan Central Elementary School teachers served as the key
informants of this study. Since the study is qualitative in nature, the researchers
opted for fourteen (14) teachers as respondents to share their experiences which
served as answers to the specific questions stated in this study.
Moreover, this study utilized the convenience sampling technique under
non-probability sampling to select research participants. Convenience sampling,
characterized as a research approach in which researchers get market research
data from a readily available group of respondents.

Research Locale
The research locale of the study includes all the teachers at Cajidiocan
This study conducted at Cajidiocan Central Elementary School. It is
located at Poblacion, Cajidiocan, Romblon. The setting was selected due to the
availability of teachers. Additionally, Cajidiocan Central Elementary School would
be safe ground for the researchers and will follow the health protocols that is
needed in terms of acquiring data. Hence, the selection of Cajidiocan Central
Elementary School as the setting for the study helped the researchers to gather
valid and first-hand information.

In this study, a researchers made a semi-structured interview guide
composed of nine (9) questions that will serve as instruments in the study.
Through the help of the instrument made, the researchers will were able to
determine the effects of modular distance learning on the prosocial and
emotional behavior of teachers.
The researchers ensured the validity and reliability of research questions
to teachers through the validation of three (3) experts. Moreover, the researchers
will provide Filipino translation for each question, which is also to be validated by
language critic to ensure that the key informants understood the questions
clearly. Through the validation of these individuals, consistent and precise results
are gathered from the research participants.
Data Collection and Sources
The study conducted in Cajidiocan Central Elementary School located at
Poblacion, Cajidiocan, Romblon. A total of fourteen (14) teachers served as the
respondents of the study. The utilization of criteria established by the researchers
through convenience sampling including the years in teaching and grade level of
teaching will ensure that each respondent was eligible to be a part of the study.
Data will be collected when the campus director, public school district supervisor,
principal, and teacher-respondents have given their approval.

The acquired data from the interview questionnaire encoded in the
manuscript in this stage. To extract the important statements from their text and
categorize the data, the researchers assigned themes. After that, the researchers
translated the answers of key informants to suit the language as in this study,
which is English. Their data organized into similar units (scrutiny methods) then
main themes and sub-categorized theme will arise. These themes will serve as
the general meanings to the problems stated in the study.

Good Fellowship
When the teachers answered the questions of how the Modular Distance
Learning changed them, they mentioned good fellowship as one of behavior on
how them affected by the implementation. Good fellowship means that the
teachers is building a good relationship towards their co-teacher and parents of
the students, and this is a great way to get to know everyone. Good fellowship is
an affable companionable person (Merriam Webster, n.d.). When the teachers
take the time to get to know a co-teacher, they can build a solid relationship that
will help you both in your professional lives.
“Mahalaga ang mabuting pakikisama kaninuman sa lahat ng pagkakataon,
Sa panahon ng pagpapatupad ng MDL, nagpapakita ng magandang pakikisama
sa mga magulang lalo’t higit sa mga mag-aaral.” (Good fellowship with anyone is
always important. During the implementation of the MDL, good fellowship with

with others on a regular basis and helps you build a strong support system,
which protects you from stress and despair during difficult times (Western
Connecticut State University, 2018). The teachers are initiate help to their fellow
teacher to finish the work faster and help them solve the problem.

with the students' parents.

key persons in our life teaches us how to respect others. Respect implies
accepting someone for who they are, even if they are different from you or you
disagree with them. Respect fosters feelings of trust, safety, and well-being in
your interactions (Kids Helpline, 2022). One of the most crucial aspects of the
human soul is dignity. It entails being appreciated and respected for who you are,
what you believe in, and how you live your life. Treating others with dignity entails
treating them as we would like to be treated (FamilyEducation Staff, 2022)

which is especially important during a pandemic. They have developed good

responses was that teachers were more involved with the students' parents.

magampanan ang responsibilidad ng pagiging guro.” (As a teacher it is
necessary to have a good relationship with fellow teachers so that the task can

When the Teachers answered the questions of how the Modular Distance
Learning changed them, they mentioned value spare time as one of behavior on
how them affected by the implementation. Respondents said they spend their
free time on orderly and meaningful things. Having time to talk to both teachers
and parents helps a teacher to map their own development and come up with
new ideas about things they have not yet discovered.
“Madalas nag uusap ang mga guro kung ano ang dapat gawin upang ang
lahat ng learners ay makatapos sa takdang oras ng pagsasagot sa mga modyul.
Magkakaroon ng home visitation sa mga bata at magulang at pag usapan ang
mga mahihirap na asignatura. Maturuan ang mga magulang lalo na ang mga
bata upang makuha nila ang tamang aralin na dapat matutunan.” (Teachers
often discuss what needs to be done so that all learners can complete the
modules in the allotted time. There will be home visitation with children and
parents and discussion of difficult subjects. Teach parents especially children so
that they get the right lesson to be learned.) R6:1

are three (3) emerging themes. First is disturbed emotion which have two (2)
emerging theme sub-categories which are being irritable and stressed and
emotionally stressed. Second is developing of the value of being tolerant which
have three (3) emerging themes sub-categories which are understanding calm
and disappointed. Benevolence which have to emerging themes sub-categories
which are practical attitude and positive.
Being Irritable
Learning changed them, they mentioned being irritable as one of behavior on
how them affected by the implementation. Respondents had already mentioned
that they were irritated with what was happening during MDL. One of the reasons
for this is the non -compliance of students with the correct answer and parents
who do not cooperate with the rule as well as being stressed and having physical
illness.

ipamigay sa mga bata o mag-aaral sa saktong.” (There were times when I

and there needed to be a finished module so that something could be given to

why teachers feel stress is due to the presence of malfunction of printers, lack of
supplies and scramble to pay for materials that they lack. Other respondents
admitted that due to the implementation of MDL they have become emotionally
stressed.
“Minsan dahil hindi naman tayo perpekto may iba't ibang emotion din
tayong nararamdaman lalo na kapag maraming pinapa tapos kailangan isumite
ng mga report sa anong oras at kailangan mo pang mag print ng inyong mga
module learning activity sheets.” (Sometimes because we are not perfect, we

also feel different emotions, especially when there is a lot of work and then you
have to submit reports at what time, and you still have to print your module

Practical Attitude
Learning changed them, they mentioned practical attitude as one of behavior on
how them affected by the implementation. Teachers prefer to be practical in the
things things happen to their students. They intensify the display of a trait of
being a teacher. They think of things that could possibly help a child who is
having difficulty with their module or lesson.
“Kapag hindi na sagot ng buo maaaring hindi maintindihan ang gawain
walang gamit na angkop sa gawain at walang nakakatandang may gabay sa
paggawa ng gawain. Kaya bilang guro ay dapat ko Silang tulungan upang
maintindihan ang kasanayang hindi sinagutan.” (When the answer is not
complete, the task may not be understood without any tools appropriate to the
task and no adult guidance in doing the task. So as a teacher I must help Them

Broad Understanding
When the Teachers answered the questions of how the modular distance
learning changed them, they mentioned broad understanding as one of behavior
towards parents on how them affected by the implementation. Teachers expand
their understanding of the things that happen during the implementation of MDL.
“Nagkaroon ng mabuting pakikipag-ugnyan at pagkaka-unawaan sa
pagitan ng mga magulang at guro.” (There was good communication and
understanding between parents and teachers.) R5:3.1
“Nagiging mas malawak ang pag-iisip.” (The mind becomes broader.)

emerging sub-categories which is stress and tiredness
Stress and Tiredness
Learning changed them, they mentioned Stress as one of emotional capability on
how them affected by the implementation. Majority of the respondents responds
that the modular distance learning is stressful in terms of printing modules with
behind problem such as the failure of the printers and shortage of supplies. The
respondents also mentioned that modular distance learning is exhausting for
them.

When the Teachers answered the questions of how the modular distance
learning changed them, they mentioned having good relationship as one of
interpersonal relationship on how them affected by the implementation. Most of
the respondents mentioned that they became closer to each other, to maintain a
good and orderly relationship with fellow teachers and for them to filters those
real identities and attitudes of people.
“Naging malapit kami sa isat-isa at doon mo nakikilala ang mga totoong
tao.” (We became close to each other and that’s where you meet real people.)

CHAPTER V
SUMMARY, MAJOR FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
This chapter presents the summary, major findings, conclusion, and
recommendation.
Summary
This research study deal with the effects of modular distance learning to
the prosocial and emotional behavior of teacher in Cajidiocan Central Elementary
School.
This is conducted during the second semester of school year 2021-2022
at fourteen (14) elementary teacher that are convenient to the researchers, as
respondents through convenience sampling under the category of non-probability
sampling.

Data gathered through questionnaires which are composed of 9 questions
to determine the effects to the prosocial and emotional behavior of teacher during
the implementation of modular distance learning.
Data gathered are analyzed and interpreted using the scrutiny method
through interview questionnaire that determine the effects of modular distance
learning to the prosocial and emotional behavior of teachers.
Major Findings
1. The teacher's prosocial conduct throughout the implementation of modular
distance learning has a positive influence in general. The teachers are more
cautious in their interactions with their colleagues and the students' parents.
They cultivate positive relationships to guarantee that everyone receives
positive feedback from one another. Despite the hardships and
repercussions of the pandemic, the teachers maintain their professionalism.
The teacher is willingly assisting their fellow teacher as a method of
expressing their engagement to their colleagues. The teacher carefully
manages their social behavior and chooses to be positive to others around
them.
2. Teachers' emotional behavior during the implementation of modular distance
learning can both good and destructive. They are annoyed since the parents

and children did not satisfy the teacher's requirement of answering all
assessments and not participating in returning and conforming modules. The
teachers are stressed because of printer malfunctions and a lack of
resources needed to create modules, but despite the tension, they believe
that teachers acquire the value of tolerance. They become more empathetic
and calm in order to maintain a positive relationship with the students'
parents. They are disappointed in their students, but they have managed to
grasp the cause for the students' poor performance and are optimistic about
how to handle the matter.
3.1. The teachers has a favorable attitude toward the children' parents and
speaks gently and respectfully. The general conduct of teachers toward students'
parents is the desired impact or result.
3.2. Teachers at Cajidiocan Central Elementary School are tired and stressed
as a result of the consequences of modular distance learning on their emotional
capabilities.
3.3. The impacts of modular distance learning on teachers' intrapersonal
relationships during the implementation of modular distance learning
demonstrate that instructors created a behavior that reflects a good connection.

Based on the study's findings, researchers conclude that teachers'
prosocial behaviors throughout the implementation of modular distance learning
is positive, and they grow more understanding of every scenario and still value
their profession despite the obstacles they face during this pandemic. Teachers'
emotional behavior during the implementation of modular distance learning is
emotionally stressful and physically fatigued, yet despite this, teachers make
their emotional behavior relevant to the situation. In terms of instructors' behavior
toward students' parents, the teachers are courteous and patient, and they
understand every reason why parents are unable to answer all of their children's
activities and are not participating. Teachers' emotional capabilities have
deteriorated as a result of what modular distance learning has given them. And in
their intrapersonal relationships, teachers cultivate a pleasant attitude in order to
foster positive relationships with their colleagues and students' parents
RECOMMENDATION
Based on the result and conclusions of the study, the following
recommendation are, hereby endorsed for the future researchers:
1. Future researchers may engage in research studies on how the to handle the
cause of stress in a appropriate way
2. Conduct research study that explain to the students the purpose of modular
distance learning even in the midst of pandemic.

3. It would be better if there would be ample adequate learning materials may be
provided.
4. Give more concrete examples about the lesson and lessen the activities most
especially with the elementary pupils.
5. Have constant monitoring of teachers via home visitation to assess the
progress of the students as well as those who need special attention.
6. Depart of Education should give focus on the stress of the teacher and provide
serious seminar that tackles the importance of mental health.
7. The Department of Education should provide enough needs of the teachers in
making module.
8. Hire someone who is expert in fixing printers to lessen the teachers’ burden.
9. Allow teacher to have at least a day in a weekdays to have time for
themselves.

This research study entitled "Modular Distance Learning: Its Effect to

Prosocial and Emotional Behaviors of Teacher in Cajidiocan Central Elementary

School" was conducted at Central Elementary School, Cajidiocan, Romblon. The
