iTrans Single or Dual Gas Monitors

Must Be Calibrated After Power Loss
(P/Ns 7814635-XXXXXXX & 7814783-XXXXXXX)
Only affects iTrans monitors shipped prior to July 2009

All iTrans Single or Dual Gas Monitors shipped prior to July 2009 must be calibrated after any
event that results in loss of power to the monitor. Through internal testing, Industrial Scientific
has identified the potential for calibration data to become corrupt after a loss of power to the
monitor. This data is easily restored by completing a calibration of the monitor. Failure to
calibrate after a power loss may result in the inability of the monitor to accurately detect
the presence of hazardous levels of gas.

Only iTrans monitors shipped prior to July 2009 are affected. This issue was resolved for all
iTrans monitors that have shipped in July 2009 to present with sensor software version 8.0 or
greater. When powering up the iTrans, the iTrans software version will be displayed first, then
the sensor 1 software version will be displayed, and finally the sensor 2 software version will be
displayed (if the iTrans is equipped with two sensors).
