A. INTRODUCTION
This module covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform nursery operations for agricultural crops including Prepare
Nursery Tools, Farm Implements and Simple Equipment, Maintain Nursery Facilities, Handle Seeds/Planting Material, Prepare Growing
Media, Conduct Propagation Activities.
Performing Nursery Operation is a crucial aspect of many job, especially those related to Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, and
Plant Propagation. These operations encompass a wide range of tasks that involve nurturing, cultivating, and managing young plants
in their early stage of growth. Nursery operation involve a series of task, including Seed Sowing, Seedling Transplantation, Grafting,
Budding, Watering, Fertilization, Pest and Diseases Management, and overall Plant Care.
The importance of performing nursery operations cannot be overstated. These operations are integral to ensuring the health, vitality,
and success of plants throughout their lifecycle. Whether in Agriculture, Horticulture, Landscaping, or other related fields, proper
nursery practices play a pivotal role in achieving desired outcomes and driving the performance of various job roles.
