CHAPTER 1: FLOODING

Rita tries to get her sister's attention in her room by screaming and playing with her papier-mâché
dolls: pulpy slug and Cerberus. But her sister can't stand her and throws water on her until it
floods her bed. The mother arrives and calls her attention, Rita cries. At that point they go down to
the piano and he offers her to play the piano, to which Rita prefers the drums.

CHAPTER 2: ESPIONAGE

Rita overhears her parents talking about her with a yogurt container (according to her it is an
object of espionage) they talk about how distracted she is, how they hate each other with her
sister Laura and that her father thinks she is misunderstood. They come to the conclusion to talk
to Rita's teacher.

CHAPTER 3: CHINESE CURSE

Rita feels bad and invents that she has the plague in order not to go to school. He discovers it right
away, but his dad reads him the Chinese tale of Mulan. She takes a leaf out of her dad's book
which is in Chinese and likes to think it says that school is a Chinese curse.

CHAPTER 4: MISS EVELINDA

Rita arrives late to class because she was looking at some paintings, she is sent to the inspector's
office where she tells everything to inspector Harold, who listens to her patiently. She then returns
to her living room and is questioned by Miss Evelinda. Rita has robot programming for such
occasions, although this time it doesn't work for her to answer. Her classmates begin to nickname
her "Rita Lúnik" because she is on the moon.

CHAPTER 5: SAMUEL

Rita is sitting in the schoolyard eating the celery that her mother sends her as a snack, when
Samuel arrives and they talk about the food that was sent to her. He explains to her who Nelson
Mandela was (because that was what they had worked on in the previous class, what Miss
Evelinda asked him) and he tells her that, if she would pay more attention, she would not be
bothered and would learn interesting things. Rita defends herself by telling him that she doesn't
get bored being alone, she enjoys looking at the clouds and writing in her notebook. She agrees to
write down Nelson Mandela in her notebook.

CHAPTER 6: HATCHING THE GUM

Samuel sits next to Rita because Miss Evelinda asks him to keep an eye on her, however, Rita
distracts Samuel and they start playing rubber dusting. The teacher asks them a question and they
fail to answer it correctly, Rita tries to invent an answer, but her game comes out, so the teacher
gets angry and makes her read a book to discuss it next class.

CHAPTER 7: BEHEMOT

Rita is in the infirmary telling Silvia that she has a headache, although it is a lie. Then his father
helps him with the dissertation and makes it "my pet is a dinosaur" by showing drawings and
quotes. The class is surprised, but Miss Evelinda tells him that he did not follow instructions and
gives him the minimum grade. Rita gets angry and writes in her notebook that it should be called
"Sebefea".

CHAPTER 8: GREEK MYTHOLOGY

Rita and her sister get into the car, Laura asks Rita how her dissertation went and Rita lies to her
saying that the teacher congratulated her, at that moment Laura goes down to buy bread and she
tells her mother that she needs to go to the doctor because she can't read well. Arriving home the
sisters fight and Atilio explains to them the meaning of the word "amazon" and explains that
certain words should not be said. Rita's mother tells Atilio the good news and insists on throwing a
birthday party for Rita and inviting all her classmates. Rita didn't eat, she feels her lie grew too big.

CHAPTER 9: HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Rita arrives at her school and Harold stops her, she tells him that it is her birthday and that she
feels sad because her mother insists on inviting her classmates, but she has no friends, Harold
encourages her and listens to her. Samuel comes over at recess, she invites him over and gives him
a plasticine airplane. He answers that he will go, at which point his classmates begin to tease them
saying that they are boyfriend and girlfriend.

CHAPTER 10: WILL

Rita faints and wakes up in the infirmary. Silvia tells him that Samuel was taking care of her but
Harold sent him to class. Laura arrives and reproaches her for calling attention to herself, Silvia
makes her do it. Francesca arrives and hugs Rita, who is very relieved. They go to the inspector's
office and Harold comments to Francesca that maybe she should take Rita to a psychologist.
Arriving home, he writes a will in his notebook. Samuel calls her on the phone to see how she is
doing and to tell her that his classmates want to go to her birthday party, she tells him that
fainting is like disappearing and that she wrote a will. Francesca reads the notebook and worries,
she tells Atilio that children should not think about death.

CHAPTER 11: JOAN

Rita's parents take her to the psychologist (child psychiatrist) Joan, they enter her office and Rita
realizes that she is a foreigner because she is dragging the "r". He enters his office and picks up a
doll that catches his eye. Joan explains that she has no face because she has to create a story for
her, Rita immediately identifies with her.

CHAPTER 12: C.O.N.C.E.E.N.T.R.A.

They go downstairs to eat pancakes. On the table is Rita's remedy for concentration that Joan
prescribed for her. Francesca is not very confident and prefers the natural. Atilio tells her that
treatment should be a team effort between the school and the family, but she thinks that Evelinda
won't help much. They discuss the possibility of changing her to another school, Rita does not
want to and begins to scream.

CHAPTER 13: GIRLANTENAS

Rita goes to school thinking that she has antennae and that everyone will laugh even harder at
her, she tells Samuel her secret, making him swear to God that he will not tell anyone.

CHAPTER 14: WORLD OF SAND

Rita is in Joan's office burying things in the sandbox, she thinks about the idea of inviting her
classmates to her birthday and decides to make invitations, she makes sketches of snakes and
does not want to invite the tufo (Manuela) but she feels sorry that she is the only one, so when he
passes her the invitation he tells her that they will look for snake nests, she replies that not even
dead she is not going to her birthday.

CHAPTER 15: RITALINDA


Rita and Francesca are making pizzas for the birthday. Rita decorates them and makes jokes, then
Samuel arrives and recognizescen that Rita's pizza turned out very well and that she did not take
the medicine, they decide to name it and Samuel tells her that it would be nice if it was called after
her: Ritalinda.

Rita writes in her diary that the party went very well and that Samuel is her best friend.
