Summary of Findings, Conclusions, and Recommendations

This chapter offers the summary of findings, conclusion, and recommendation in

accordance with the results.

Summary of Findings

The data gathered were tallied, tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted using

frequency, percentage and t-test as statistical tools. The analysis of data revealed the following

results:

Research Question no 1: What is the profile of the Grade 12 private Senior high

school students as school voucher recepients in terms of the following:

· Age

· Gender

· Chosen Strand

· Economic Status

· General Average in Grade 10 and 11

Based on the results, grade 12 private senior high school students that avail the

school voucher program has an age of 18 years old for 62.5% and majority are the females that

composed of 66.67%. Most of the school voucher recepients took a strand of Humanities and

Social Science (HUMSS) for 33.3% than the other strand. The School Voucher recipeints belong
to a low income family that has an income of less than 15,780 pesos monthly. Also, they got an

average grade of 91-95 in grade 10 and 11.

Research Question no.2: What are the benefits of voucher program to the public

Junior High School completers enrolled in private Senior High Schools in terms in

personal, financial, and as a student?

Based on the answers given by our respondents from this question 95.83% answered that

the school voucher program benefit financially when it comes on school fees especifically tuition

fees, extended financial support to all parents regardless to income, lessen their expenses, and

they can save their excees allowances. One of the respondents says that " For me the benefits of

it, is that to extend the financial support from the government to these, other education providers

and thus give all parents, regardless of income, the opportunity to choose the school that best

suits their preferences. in short, this voucher is really important to one's inividual". While 4.17%

answered that school voucher program provide sufficient discounts and provide students the right

to better education. Also, the results in likert scale shows that school voucher program is most

beneficial for students, they can access to diffent facilities and they become more academically

competative. Aside from the benefits they get as a student, voucher program can benefits them

financially and personally.

Conclusions

Based on the results and the findings analyzed, the researchers deduced the following

conclusions:

1. Based on the students profile, most of the school voucher recepients has an age of 18
years old and mostly are females. They got an average grade of 91-95 and majority choose the

strand of HUMSS. Also, they belong to a low income family.

2. Recepients of School Voucher program get more benefits as a students and in their

personal gain based on the results, while in terms of financial benefits the resilts shows that it is

slightly beneficial to them.

Recommendations

Based on the findings and conclusion, the researchers hereby present the following

recommendation:

1. To the administrators of school handling the school voucher program they should be

more transparent and give more information about voucher program to the recipients.

2. This research paper can be use by the parents as a guide in making their school choice

for their children and what benefits they can get.

3. The future researchers are advise to consider researching about the factors and/or

effects of school voucher program in the Philippines.
