Installation and Activation Fritz 17

Firstly, Install Fritz 17

Now we need to run the CB-KeyGen file. Select Fritz 17 press a new serial and copies. Do not
close the program, we need it in the future!
In the input field, our copied serial number appeared. Append F17 and click Next.

At the last stage, click Install and wait for the program to be installed.
After installing the program, the following window will appear asking you to enter the serial
number. Click on the cross in the upper right corner and proceed to the next step.
After we installed Fritz 17 you need to activate it. To do this, go to the folder with the installed
program and find the file ChessBaseAmdinTool. The default path for windows x64 is
C:\Program Files\ChessBase\ChessProgram17
The default path for windows x32 is
C:\Program Files(x86)\ChessBase\ChessProgram17
After opening the program, we will see a list of installed programs from ChessBase. We are
looking for Fritz 17 and click Activate Offline.

In the Activation Key field, there is a copied code from CB-KeyGen. In the box that says Enter
the code shown above, enter the letters from the green image.
We return to the program CB-KeyGen. In the lower left corner, we find the button and press
the Activate button.
In the Hardware ID field, we drive in Hardware ID from ChessBaseAmdinTool click Get Key
and then Copy. Hardware ID is unique for each computer! Then paste the copied code into
the ChessBaseAdminTool and click ok.
Congratulations! You have installed and activated Fritz 17.
When you open the program, a message pops up and prompts you to install additional
components, click (OK) then on (install)
 The following components will be installed:
- Fat Fritz
- Fritz 17 Book 2019
- Database 2020

If, after activating with the CB-KeyGen you also, want to watch the commercial and copy
protected CBFT (Chessbase Fritz Trainer) DVDs then you must run the CBFT-Patch v1.9. This
is for the protected DVDs not for streaming from a server. For each Fritz trainer DVD there is
a unique prot file and this goes into your "streams" folder. The combination of the CBFT
patch and the correct prot file allows you to watch the video fully on you Fritz 17 program.
If you try to watch a protected CBFT without doing this you get an error message about
protection and you don't see the DVD properly. You may hear the presenter but no moves
on the chessboard.

Place "CBFT-Patch.exe" in the program installation path and run it "Run as administrator"
