 BABY WELCOME PRAYER

We are gathered here to celebrate a future event of great importance; the

arrival to this world of a BABY that will fill a home with joy and that with its
presence will constitute a true family with ----------.

The Holy Father John Paul II calls the family by the name of "Domestic
Church", because the family is not only the Base Cell of Society, but it is an
authentic "SANCTUARY OF LOVE".

This should make future parents aware of the responsibility, dedication and
love that being PARENTS OF A FAMILY implies.

We will make a procession with the objects that we offer to the new Christian,
as a symbol of the important functions that this mother will perform, always
thinking that to serve is to reign, that God loves the one who gives with joy.

All of us gathered here want to show our friendship and affection, we wish you
both the joy of seeing this baby grow in wisdom, age and grace.

 PROSECION OF GIFTS

We are going to make an offering that this small community is going to give to
the future mother, to collaborate in the reception of the future BABY that God
willing will be a new apostle of the WORD OF GOD and a defender of
Christian values.

OFFERINGS:
1. A seed symbolizing FAITH.
2. A medallion for his crib.
3. An image of the Virgin Mary, Mother of all mothers.
4. A small crucifix, which reminds us of the crosses of daily life, and which
we should carry with joy.
5. A Bible for children, reminding us that religious information begins in
the cradle, or better yet, in the womb.
6. A prayer of the Guardian Angel who will be guardian and defender.
7. Useful gifts for cleaning your body or for your diet.
8. El Rosario.
9. The savanna is a symbol of warmth.
10.Gold is a symbol of material support.
11.Incense symbolizes the elevation towards heaven.
12.Myrrh was given along with frankincense and gold.
13.A pair of slippers to cover their little feet.
14.A little jacket to protect him from the cold.

 READING OF THE WORD OF GOD

FIRST READING: LUKE 1, 26-38

As you can see, this reading shows us the Blessed Virgin Mary as the model
par excellence for us Christian women, step by step, the annunciation of her
maternity, the loving and trusting acceptance of it; thus you, , will have felt
expectation, fear, joy, tenderness, thousands of mixed feelings before the
announcement of your next maternity.Thus, your-----, you will have felt

What a time you must have had, before this great gift that God has given you,
announcing the arrival of this baby that will be so dear to you and your
family, you too, like Mary, say Yes! With the same love, faith and hope.

We will do another reading to continue remembering those months of waiting

and the beautiful way in which Jesus was born among us.

SECOND READING: LUKE 2:1-20

In this reading we see how the Blessed Virgin Mary had her son in the most
humble way, but she did not care, only the immense happiness of having had
him, of being his mother and of holding him in her arms.

All those moments are approaching little by little and being a mother you can
feel inside you the most beautiful experience that a woman can feel, to
remember that Jesus was born in the greatest humility and that this was a
heavenly event, this beautiful child came to adore and to offer him beautiful
presents.

THIRD READING: MATTHEW 2:1-11

We also wish that this meeting is full of joy, because we wish you and your
baby the best, and with much affection we are also going to give you some
presents accompanied with beautiful messages.

 FIRST OFFERING:

"THE SEED"

Jesus compares faith to a mustard seed, which being so small can become a
leafy tree that gives shade to men and birds.

A child, no matter how small, is a seed of faith that you have to take care of
and water so that it becomes a big tree and bears fruits that will be its actions.

Do not wait until he reaches the age to make his First Communion, to instruct
him and teach him his religion, but do it with each and every moment of his
life, from the first day that the Lord grants you to hold him in your arms;
thank Jesus for the privilege of having chosen you as his parents.

Pray always, PRAYER is the nourishment of the soul and it, as well as you,
needs it to invigorate your spirit. Do not wait until he is ten years old to give
him his first communion, teach him from this moment on, remember that no
one can give what he does not have, so he must see the example of a true child
of God in you, who are his first church, you are the ones directly responsible
for that domestic church that is your home.

For the soul needs sustenance and vitamins in order to grow and withstand
the onslaught of worldly life....

Never forget it.

 SECOND OFFERING

"A MEDALLION FOR ITS CRADLE".

This medallion is to hang in the baby's crib and will help you to reflect that, if
you consecrate your child to the Lord from before birth and are always
mindful of renewing these vows, you will be paving his or her path to
happiness.

Consecrating a child to God does not mean that he or she will become a priest
or a nun; that is up to the child to choose or not through what we call
vocation.

To consecrate a child to God means that we are aware that we are only
earthly parents and that the only owner of life is God.

Therefore, let us invoke him daily at the cradle of the BABY so that he will
deliver him from the bad things that could happen to him. And shower
blessings upon him always. Let us pray continually trusting in the Lord and in
his mother Mary, example of all mothers, so that the BABY grows up healthy
in body and soul, remember that the moral formation of the child is the
exclusive work of the parents, he will be the man that you forge.

 THIRD OFFERING

IMAGE OF THE VIRGIN MARY

Once, just like you now--------, a young woman named Mary, was about to
become a mother, she had accepted with all her heart the announcement of the
Angel Gabriel when he told her that she was going to be the mother of the Son
of God, and even though she was already several months pregnant, she did
not hesitate to go to serve her cousin Saint Elizabeth when they announced
that she was also going to be a mother in spite of her advanced age.

This beautiful example of obedience and service is what every mother should
carry in her heart when she is expecting a child. Mary, mother of the church,
should always be our example in all the moments of our life, especially when
we are going to be mothers, whether for the first time or again, let us always
imitate Mary and have an image always present in our homes and in our
hearts.

 FOURTH OFFER

"A SMALL CRUCIFIX"

The Cross is the sign of the

Christian...

With it, evil is driven away and good

is attracted, so that Christ Jesus
obtained the title of King the instant
he expired on the cross and was
glorified by the heavenly Father.

A good Christian, the first thing he

must do when he gets up is to arm
himself with the sign of the cross to
obtain the necessary strength to
overcome the world, the devil and
the flesh.

This sign is so powerful that those

who are going to face great dangers,
raise a cross or at least make the
sign of the cross to protect themselves.

Try to teach your baby with devotion and respect to Christ crucified, teach
him to show gratitude to Jesus for having given his whole life on the cross to
show us how much he loves us.

 FIFTH OFFER

"THE BIBLE"

Bible means "Little Library", because it is a set of books containing the

WORD OF GOD.

The Bible is also known as the Holy Scriptures, because

it contains the history of the salvation of the human race
narrated by sacred writers inspired by God and
illuminated by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible contains the messages that God wanted to

send to humanity and the main character is the Messiah,
the Christ anointed by God the Father, the Savior of the
world, announced by the prophets of the Old Testament
as the "Divine Word".

Jesus in the Gospels tells us what the Father wants for

us, and he himself teaches us the way to reach God by
the sure path that leads to happiness here on earth and
to eternal life in heaven.

The small child must be taught to read, know and

become familiar with these vivid passages that narrate
the most important events, historical facts and the most beautiful passages of
Jesus' life, so today we give you this BIBLE OF THE CHILD so that from a
young age you can teach him to love Jesus through his life and his word.

 SIXTH OFFER

"GUARDIAN ANGEL PRAYER".

The first prayer we learned as children was to the guardian angel, in the
biblical passages we see how in all the moments of Jesus' life there is always
the presence of an angel.

God, in his infinite goodness and divine mercy, has entrusted us to the
guardianship of the angels to defend us in the fight against evil and to protect
us against adversity and the lurking of the enemy.

So also this little BABY, from the moment God gave him life, has been
entrusted to the protection of the Holy Angels.

Don't forget to -------------- pray the prayer to the Guardian Angel every night
and teach it to your BABY since he/she can repeat it with you.

SEVENTH OFFERING

 "ARTICLES FOR BABY CARE AND FEEDING".

Being parents not only involves having a child, but also educating and
teaching them to keep clean inside and out.

God created us in his image and likeness, our body is a living temple of the
Holy Spirit, that is why these articles have been chosen with love to clean,
care and feed that little body to whom the same spirit has given life, and you
will make sure that this little baby grows healthy and has the strength to
develop well in all stages of his life.

 EIGHTH OFFERING

"THE ROSARY"

It is a blessed way to converse with Our Lady, who receives all our petitions
and intercedes for us in our needs.

What mother does not listen to her children's pleas! And the Virgin Mary,
always attentive, gives us the opportunity to receive us by praying the Holy
Rosary, which is so good for us, because it fully identifies us with her son.

-------------------, today that you are about to become parents, try to acquire
this pious habit, so that tomorrow you can give this example to your child, and
do not forget that:

"FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER,

STAYS TOGETHER".

 NINTH OFFERING

"LA SABANITA".

This blanket symbolizes the first coat that you will give to your BABY,
symbolizes the warmth of the mother and the security with which you will
guide him through life, when he is out of your womb ----------, when you have
him in your arms wrapped and defenseless, you will understand the need for
tenderness and protection that he has and you will be willing to provide him
even at the cost of your own life.

------------, maybe at this moment you still don't understand the great
commitment that God has chosen you for, but when you have your BABY in
your arms, you will feel and know that you will have to be his "sheet" that will
protect him, but don't overprotect him.But do not overprotect it, keep in mind
that God gives us children, not as property but as a loan, so your BABY is
God's treasure that He puts in your hands for you to guide and form it with
example and righteousness.

 TENTH OFFERING

"INCENSE"

But why incense?

Because it symbolizes the elevation towards heaven, it was part of the

valuable gifts that the Magi from the East offered to the Messiah, after having
walked from so far away, waiting for the moment to see him and be in this
great event for all mankind.

In ancient times, the altars where sacrifices of love and praises were offered
to God were incensed.So after several months of waiting, lulling him in your
womb and waiting for the moment when you can see him face to face and hold
him in your arms, you will incense the altar of your body and soul, to offer to
God this loving sacrifice of surrender and praise of your whole being, and
thank the Lord for this wonderful gift he gives you, this little piece of flesh
with a great soul made in the image and likeness of him.

 ELEVENTH OFFERING

"GOLD"

Gold means the material help that will be able to solve the economic problems
that will surely come your way.

Jesus was offered gold by the Kings and his parents St. Joseph and the Virgin
Mary accepted it with all humility, they used it carefully and orderly, so try to
teach your child the value of money and the use that should be given to it,
teach it with care and righteousness.

To not misspend it, to treasure it without greed, teach it to use money and not
to let money make use of it.

 TWELFTH OFFERING

"MIRRA"

Myrrh is a bitter herb that was given to the kings along with incense and gold,
it was the custom of that time, gold meant power, incense flattery and myrrh
has to remind them of the bitter moments they will ever have to go through in
their lives.

Your son is a king, and as such you must be waiting for him, you see that from
this day we are with you preparing the triumphal arrival, and as a king he will
have his difficult and bitter moments that he will pass bravely with your help,
with your patience and above all with your teachings and advice.

Just as Jesus had his passion, each one of us has ours. Blessed is the king you
are waiting for, for he will have you, his parents, to help him in his difficult
moments.

 THIRTEENTH OFFERING

"SHOES"

These little shoes will serve your BABY to cover his tender little feet and
protect them from the inclemency of the weather, they symbolize the care that
he will have to take when walking through life, but these steps will depend a
lot on the paths that you show him and the way in which he will have to direct
his walk.

Do not forget to teach him to always walk towards God our Father, who at
every moment of our life is waiting for us with open arms.

 FOURTEENTH OFFERING

"CHAMBRITA"

Your BABY will also need a dress to protect him/her from the cold or heat,
this little jacket will mean for you the care and attention you will take when
dressing your BABY to show him/her impeccable in the eyes of others.

We must also remember that this little baby is not only a body but also a soul
and this must be dressed with much more care and attention, surely you will
want this clothing to be clean, made with values and adorned with virtues as
befits every child of God.
