    Domestic Violence Awareness Month Activities

    Sunday, October 2 October 9 by donating your cell phones. For every phone donated at Sundays Green Bay Packer game, Verizon Wireless Store on Willard Dr in Ashwaubenon, or Golden House. For every phone donated, Verizon Wireless will donate $10 to Golden House. Lunes Octubre 3, en el Womens Center de St. Marys (en frente del hospital St. Marys). Una presentacin en espaol sobre la dinmica de la violencia domestica. El grupo de mujeres hispanas se reunir a las 5:30pm, todos son bienvenidos! Monday, October 3 at the Womens Center at St. Marys (across from St. Marys Hospital) for a Spanish Presentation on the Dynamics of Domestic Violence. The Hispanic womens group meets at 5:30pm. All are welcome! Monday, October 3 as the St. Norbert Mens Initiative presents College Football Hall of Famer, Activist, Educator, and Feminist Donald McPherson. Don uses his sports experience to raise awareness about domestic violence especially among men. He will speak at 7pm in the Fort Howard Theatre at St. Norbert College Campus. Friday, October 14 for A Night of Swing at the 12 Annual Golden Harvest Ball. The night includes music by Bay City Swing, dancing lessons, dinner, live and silent auctions! Tickets are $75. Tuesday, October 18 for the Extraordinary Womens Dinner at Golden House. The dinner is at 6:00pm and is a chance for those affected by domestic violence to come together to celebrate and share with one another. Please RSVP by calling Golden House at (920) 435-0100. Wednesday, October 26 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Golden House to help celebrate the success of Octobers Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities in our community by joining us nd for our 2 Annual Chili Cook-Off. We will be selling chili for $2.00 a bowl and $2.50 with noodles and soda for 75 a can. We will be providing all the toppings for chili (crackers, onions, shredded cheese, and sour cream). Youll also be able to pick up dessert. Support Groups held at Golden House Womens Support Group: Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm Childrens Support Group: Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm At the Aging & Disability Resource Center Wise Womens Support Group: Thursdays 6:30-8pm We Like Golden House Facebook Campaign will be going on all month long.
