1. Update from previous minutes (25th March 2022)

Agenda 1.6:
CE analysis for NPR-4-M & NPR-4-B (Ibiden) update: Shared the CUC setting with
R&D and they are able to get the NPR-4-B result which are almost similar with CUC.
QC need to re-check the standard solution and run test for 3 lots of NPR-4-B and
NPR-4-M using this setting to ensure consistent result.

Agenda 5: Update from QAQC

c. Customer request: i) SGS report for 23 CUC products – Reports received and
submitted to CUC on 29th Mar., no issue.
d. SHDM request to submit Pb data on monthly basis: Start to implement on 1st April,
no issue.

2. Monthly QAQC activities

2.1 Incoming inspection

i. Expired materials for buy-off & monitoring : Golpanol PA (G-PA), sodium
thiocyanate (SCN), SHP code 1109, sulfuric acid (HSO) and sodium glutamate
(SGM).
ii. Rejected Lipothoquad C/25 due to low concentration, same lot as received in
December 2021, continue to use under the same waiver.
2.2 In-process inspection
i. On 12th April at 9:00 am, agitator drop for tank no.5 during running KAP-C. Filtered
the black particle and check the solution using AAS. Result: No colour change and
no spike in iron (ferum) detected, therefore release as normal after 2x filtration,
Passed.
ii. This issue has occurred in 2019, therefore Production and Facility need to take
action to prevent re-occurrence.

2. Monthly QAQC activities

2.3 Out-going inspection (FG buy-off, COA issuance, labels)

i. UIS requested to have 2 labels for AZ-301-3X, requested the labels from
CUC and will keep for future use.
• UMM did not have the Thailand label for this product therefore we follow AD-
301F-3X labelling method (Malaysia label only).
• Based on label issuance history in Jun 2021, only Malaysia label was issued,
thus we conformed that we pasted only 1 label for this product.

3. Ad-hoc, projects, samples and new RM/FG

3.1 Re-work activities

i. 1 lot KAP-M (14042201) was rejected due to low SHP content (254 g/L
vs spec: 260 ~ 280 g/L).
• Fresh batch: re-blend ratio → 950 L (91.5%) : 80 L (8.5%)
• For correction, the re-blend ratio will be 5 ~ 6 % only.

ii. No issue for HDX-10-G1 and HDX-10-D2.

3.2 Sample, new raw materials (RM) & finished goods (FG)
New raw material
i. Start to use new NNO from Nissan Chemical in AD-301-F lot 06042201, Passed.
ii. Received samples (500 gram) of sodium tetraborate (HBOS) from US Borax,
supplied by Kim Long Hat on 24th Mar., checked the raw material and prepare AD-
68F prototype. Result: Passed.
iii. Received the 1st incoming of new HBOS on 7th Apr., and subjected to the same
testing, passed and start to use in AD-68F lot 12042201. Result: Passed.
iv. Received the 1st incoming of G-VS from Artek Surfin on 12th Apr, India to replace
Golpanol VS, BASF Germany. Checked the appearance of the 1st incoming of the
raw material observed more yellowish colour for G-VS Artek vs. to G-VS BASF. In-
progress to prepare HEBAT NICKEL AB-40 and NICKSTAR 32 prototype to
compare with production lot. Status: Pending for full test & report.

3.2 Sample, new raw materials (RM) & finished goods (FG)

New raw material (continue)

v. NEWKALGEN 3000-S replace the current Lipothoquad C/25: Issued PRN to
request FOC (sea shipment) sample from CUC on 30th Mar and to prepare
HEBAT CHROME L-1 prototype once we received the sample.

3.2 Sample, new raw materials (RM) & finished goods (FG)
New finished goods
i. KTHM-M: Produce 50 liters samples on 24th. Mar., Passed.
ii. UYERIGHT G-1 and G-2: Produced 30 liters sample each for UIS on 31st Mar.
The appearance of G-2 is darker than the lab scale, therefore carbon filtration is
added into the manufacturing step to improve the colour to close to spec., which is
yellow, Passed.
iii. Start to implement 1-year warranty period for HDX-10-AK1 & HDX-10-D2, and 6-
months for HDX-10-G1 (due to the pH will drop and OOS if keep more than that).
iv. Requested 1 kg of 4 types of powder products (ASAHI CLEANER no. 50-N,
ASAHI CLEANER F-1000, ASAHI CLEANER F-8000 and ASAHI CLEANER C-
4000T) from R&D to provide to supplier for test run.

4.3 Other request

i. UIS returned HEBAT CHROME CHC-R lot 180121901 and request to re-work. QC
checked the appearance and found black particles which can be filtered. To keep the
filtered samples and check for recurrence of the particles.
ii. UIS requested to fill-in ESH Scorecard for First Sumiden, completed.

i. Pending for EMP from Production & Store.

5.2 Chemical control – No issue

5.3 Others – manpower, training etc.

i. New QAQC Senior Chemist/ Lab Executive has joined on 11th April.
