small island in the Middle East.

Question What do you like about it?

Speaker 1 The sea, the sun and the people.
Speaker 2 I like the openness of the United States. I like the fact that everyone comes from
somewhere else and it’s a nation of immigrants.
Speaker 3 I like the culture and the people in Estonia. And I like the summer days when they
 are long and bright for many hours.
Speaker 4 It’s quite different to London but it’s also a multicultural community.
Speaker 5 If you live in Sydney you can go skiing in the winter, whereas in the summer
you’ve got the beach. I live under twenty minutes from the beach.
Speaker 6 Quite quiet. It’s quite serene and very picturesque.
Speaker 7 There are lots of nice shops. There are bars and restaurants and there’s a nice
park.
Speaker 8 There are lots of shops, it’s easy to get around there, there’s lots of transport.

Question What don’t you like about it?

Speaker 1 I don’t like the gun culture. I don’t like the dominance of big corporations.
Speaker 2 I don’t like the noise.
Speaker 3 It doesn’t really have the transport system that you guys have.
Speaker 4 Crime and rubbish.
Speaker 5 The weather’s quite bad.
Speaker 6 It’s too quiet.
Speaker 7 You get winters where for five or six months it’s just dark and cold all day and
that’s something that I don’t like.
