Introduction:
English language serves as a lingua franca in various fields. Proficiency in
English enhances communication, facilitates access to information, fosters
international collaboration, and contributing to personal and professional success
in our interconnected world. According to (Duman & Karagoz,2016; Karagöz &
Ruzgar, 2020), The speaking skill does not depend only on the proficiency of the
learners of the structures and language versions, but it also requires their
understanding of other things that are related to how to use those structures in the
appropriate situation.
It’s been proven that DRAMA plays a crucial role in fostering students’ oral
interpretation skills and shaping their attitudes. Through theatrical experiences,
students engage in a dynamic process that goes beyond mere recitation,
encouraging them to embody characters and convey emotions. This immersive
approach to literature enhances their ability to articulate ideas, emotions, and
perspectives with clarity and expression. Moreover, drama cultivates a positive
attitude towards communication by instilling confidence, active listening, and a
deep appreciation for the nuances of language. As students embrace the
transformative power of drama, they not only refine their oral interpretation skills
but also develop a heightened sensitivity to the diverse facets of human
communication.
