Introduction:
A parking area is an essential aspect of any organization or institution, including schools. With the
increasing number of students and faculty members, the demand for parking spaces in schools has also
grown. The purpose of this concept paper is to discuss the need for a parking area in the school campus
and its potential benefits.
The study aims to highlight the benefits of having a dedicated parking area within the school premises,
such as increased safety, improved accessibility, and enhanced security. The goal of this study is to
provide insights into the importance of having a parking area in the school campus.
There is a growing body of literature on the importance of having a parking area in the school campus.
One study conducted by Graham et al. (2018) examined the impact of parking availability on student
attendance in a rural high school. The study found that when students had access to parking, they were
more likely to attend school regularly. The study also noted that the availability of parking spaces
improved the safety and security of the school campus by reducing the number of vehicles parked in
unauthorized areas.
Another study conducted by Lee et al. (2019) explored the relationship between parking availability and
faculty job satisfaction in a university setting. The study found that when faculty members had access to
a dedicated parking area, they reported higher levels of job satisfaction and were more likely to stay
with the institution. The study also noted that a well-designed parking area can reduce traffic congestion
and improve the overall campus environment.
A study conducted by Pyle and Doherty (2017) examined the benefits of providing accessible parking for
students with disabilities. The study found that accessible parking spaces can improve the mobility and
accessibility of students with disabilities, leading to higher levels of academic success and social
integration.
Objectives:
The primary objective of this concept paper is to propose the construction of a parking area in the
school campus. The proposed parking area would aim to:
1. Provide adequate and safe parking spaces for faculty, students, and visitors
