Addressing and intervening the lack of parking spaces for school vehicles in SNANHS.

Context and Rationale

The absence of parking spaces to accommodate all SNANHs students using personal transport is a
major issue that influences students’ satisfaction with education. With more and more individuals giving
preference to cars, SNANHs’ parking lots become overcrowded. When all parking spaces are occupied,
students face difficulties when searching for another spot that would enable them to park legally without
blocking the traffic or way’ movement. In many instances, doing this might require superior driving skills.
Moreover, from the psychological perspective, the current situation with SNANHs’ parking capacity can
negatively affect interactions between students while also creating another source of stress that might
affect both well-being and academic performance. From personal experience, long rows of cars trying to
find at least any available parking spot create a unique type of competition that results in open conflicts.
Finally, students might also feel urged to plan their daily activities in a peculiar way, including arriving at
SNAHNs Campus much earlier than needed.

Research Questions

1. What is the effect of limited parking spaces in student and teachers?

2. What innovation and intervention strategy will the researchers draw to address the issue in study?

Porposal Innovation, Intervention or Strategy

Here are the sets of innovation provided by the researcher from the findings of study:
Establish minimum parking requirements
By raising the requirements for parking spaces the demand for parking can be reduced. The use of zoning
is usual in this context. This method is easy to implement but can add to the costs of providing parking to
developers and public authorities.
Improved traffic flow
By properly managing parking spaces, you can help reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. Increased
safety: Effective parking management can help prevent accidents and promote safety by reducing the
number of vehicles on the road and reducing the likelihood of collisions.

Action Research Method

A. Participants
The participants in this action research includes all the faculty and staff and students of Senator Ninoy
Aquino National High School from Junior to Senior Department who experience difficulty in parking Thier
vehicles due to limited parking areas or spaces.
B. Data Gathering Method
The researcher observed that one of the problems in SNANHS is limited parking spaces. Then, the
researcher ask some teachers and students who can relate to the problem. Next, the chosen participants
have shared some of personal difficulties experienced of only having limited areas for parking vehicles.
Lastly, the researcher propose project for the problem and conducted intervention to address the
problem.
C. Ethical Issues
1. Informed consent
Participants know the purpose, benefits, risks, and funding behind the study before they agree or
decline to participate in the action research.
2. Potential for harm and Violence
Physical, social, psychological and all other types of harm are kept to an absolute minimum.
3. Results communication
The researchers ensure the work is free of plagiarism or research misconduct, and accurately
represent results.
4. Data Analysis Plan
The researcher will use a descriptive method and analysis in analyzing and addressing the problem
through the data gathered from the participants.

Plans for Utilization

The study aims to utilize the effect of limited parking spaces and areas inside the school of Senator Ninoy
Aquino National High School. The study aims to promote a convinient and sufficient parking space in the
said school. It tends to promote a secure and safe environment for vehicles which is an important asset to
every students and teachers . The action research purpose is also to give an assurance of satisfaction
among students and teachers about the safety of each vehicles . By means of developing and providing a
well and secured parking lots, areas and spaces. Each students and teachers can avoid conflict and will live
in harmonious environment.

Plans for Dissemination

The action research will be cascaded and distributed to all students in accordance to provide sufficient
parking space in SNANHS population. This will be presented also in the meeting of faculty and staff as part
of the project proposal of grade 12 students.
