Unit 02
Virtualization and
network schema
ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

1. Can a virtual machine have more RAM than the host machine?
Can a virtual machine be configured with a different sound card
than the real machine has?
Yes, the amount of RAM allocated to a virtual machine is determined by the
virtualization software and the settings defined by the user, and it is not
necessarily limited by the amount of physical RAM available on the host
machine.
Yes, a virtual machine can be configured with a different sound card than the
real machine has. Virtualization software allows you to configure virtual
hardware for the guest operating system, including sound cards, that may be
different from the physical hardware present on the host machine.

2. Download the latest version of virtualBox, the one corresponding

to your host operating system and install it. Download the
Extension Pack and add it to VirtualBox.
3. Indicates in which mode each of the network interfaces of each
virtual machine should be configured:

Interface Network adapter mode

Customer Int1 NAT

Server Int1 Host-only

Int2 DHCP

4. Take a screenshot of the Windows machine in your home where

it appears if virtualization is active or not.
