What does the Biblical Account of Creation tell us about God?

(Task 3 - Written Component)

(The following explains what this particular account of creation tells us about God, as well as the
meaning of the two bible verses that are included in the response paragraphs.)

The Fall

Initially, Adam and Eve lived with God in the Garden of Eden. But the serpent told them that they
will become immortal by eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which God
had forbidden. As a result, God evicts them from the Garden of Eden.

First verse explanation

Although they are not native to the Holy Land, they are travelling birds that pass through multiple times a
year. One of their most distinguishing characteristics is their piercing cry, which must have sounded like a
complaint or irritation on the part about the birds to the prophet Isaiah. The Isaiah verse is a poem that

refers to King Hezekiah’s terrible emotional suffering when he was affected by a fatal disease. The
passage discusses the human being’s helplessness in the face of what God has planned for them. The
message is; all we can do after crying out, like a crane, is have faith in God.

Second Verse Explanation

The second verse describes Hezekiah's experience of knowing that God had heard his prayers and
had saved him from death. “During our human existence on this earth, we must prepare for what lies
beyond it. Like migrating cranes, we must be ready to take our leave when the Lord calls us into his
presence”
