Boston Terrier �.:
I crochet the Dog in continuous spiral rounds (without joining the
rounds) with crochet hook 1.75 mm. and used Drops Alpaca Yarn
(100% Alpaca) 167m. in 50g. White color 1101 and Black color
8903 also 8mm. Glass Cabochon Flat Back Animal Eyes and Ani
mal Nose 12mm. The eyes and nose are glued on.
- Work all the project using both loops of the stitch unless other
wise noted.
The body is a single piece crocheted in continues spiral, from bottom up. The legs and tail are cro
cheted into the body. The head and ears are crocheted separately and sewn on.
Head.
Head is crochet in rounds and some part on muzzle crocheted in rows.
Please pay attention to the pictures I made it very detailed.
Black Yarn.

shift st. for it if needed.

Head Patch.
It is your choice to follow my patch pattern or make your own unique patch.
Black Yarn.
Row 1. ch8., turn.
Row 2.-4. from 2nd st. crochet 7 sc., chi., turn. (3 rounds)
Row 5.-6. from 2nd st. crochet 5 sc., chi. turn. (2 rounds)
Row 7. from 2nd st. crochet 3 sc., 1 dee., chi., turn.
Row 8. from 2nd st. crochet 4 sc., chi. turn.
Row 9. from 2nd st. crochet 2 sc., 1 dee., chi., turn.
Row 10. from 2nd st. crochet 1 sc., 1 dee., fasten off and cut the yarn.
Optional but suggested: Cut 2 peaces of metal wire o.6-o.8mm. ( I used multi purpose garden wire )
approx. 12 cm. each and add it when you'll crochet sc. all around each ear. (pie.) Bend the ends of
wires with pliers and later before you sew the ear to the head insert the ends of wire in the head to
hide it there. Also you can mask sharp ends of the wires with masking tape.
First ear: attach the yarn on bottom of the ear where was beginning of ch8, now crochet sc. all
around the ear ( with wire same time if you use it) excl. part where will sewing to the head, work on
top of the ear 3 sc. in one st., cut yarn and leave long end for sewing.
Second ear: attach yarn to opposite side of the ear and crochet all around sc. as you did with first
ear. This way the ears will be mirrored.
For the nose I used safety animal nose and with pliers I cat off back part of the nose and glue on nose
to the muzzle.
Head assembly.
With a tapestry needle and yarn ( I used the same what I crochet with) we will do some head sculpt
ing. Please ref. to the pictures.
Insert and secure the yarn in position 1. and insert the needle again in 1. and take the needle out in 2.
pull the yarn tight, then again insert the needle with 1st. apart in 2. and take it out in 1. pull the yarn
a little bit and secure the yarn and cut it. Repeat the same for another eye and ear (3-4-4-3). Shape it
dipper in eyes area with your fingers.
Tail.
Black Yarn
R 1. 6 sc. in magic ring (6)
R 2. (1 SC., 1 inc.) X 2, 2 SC. (8)
R 3. 1 sc. in each st. around (8). Do not stuff it. Fold the top of the tail in half and
crochet 4sc. through both sides of the tail. Cut off yarn.
Body.
Stitch marker is in a middle of the body at front. Keep it always in a middle of the body, add shift
st. if needed.
In R 9. we will attach back legs and tail. I crocheted in rounds the ends.

Boston Terrier
chest patch.
For the chest patch we will use 10 FLO of R32. and will crochet it in rows not rounds.
White Yam.
Keep the body upside down and attach White Yarn to first FLO and crochet Row1.
Row 1. crochet 10 sc., using FLO., chi. turn
Row 2.-4. from 2nd st. crochet 9 sc., chi., turn (3 rounds)
Row 5. from 2nd st. crochet 10 sc., turn
Row 6. from 2nd st. crochet 9 sc., turn
Row 7. from 2nd st. crochet 8 sc., turn.
Row 8. from 2nd st. crochet 7 sc., turn.
Row 9. from 2nd st. crochet 6 sc., turn
Row 10. from 2nd st. crochet 5 sc., turn.
Row 11. from 2nd st. crochet 4 sc., turn.

- Try with pins different positions of the head and sew it on, remember to add some more stuffing
in neck if needed.
- sew on legs to the body, to keep front and back legs in one position.
With crochet hook or tapestry needle shape little bit stuffing in hips, back, head, muzzle, till you are
happy with it.
Make some finishing touches if needed and your Boston Terrier is ready!
French Bulldog.
I crochet the Dog in continuous spiral rounds (without joining the

acrylic or any other paint/pencils what you are familiar with.

Now we will crochet "lips". We will crochet it in rows not in round, do not crochet it too tight.
Attach yarn to left side of the muzzle where we left for it 21 Front Loops (FLO). I crochet it in pink
yarn for better explanation.
First ear: attach the yarn on bottom of the ear where was beginning of ch8, now crochet sc. all
around the ear ( with wire same time if you use it) excl. part where will sewing to the head, work on
top of the ear 3 sc. in one st., cut yarn and leave long end for sewing.
Second ear: attach yarn to opposite side of the ear and crochet all around sc. as you did with first
ear. This way the ears will be mirrored.

With crochet hook or tapestry needle shape little bit stuffing in hips, back, head, muzzle, till you are
happy with it.
Make some finishing touches if needed and your French Bulldog is ready!

FLO (front loops only) and BLO (back loops only).

Hazelnut Yarn.
In R2o. on some part we will used BLO (back loops only are highlighted in red) and 19 of front loops
(FLO) in R19. later will be used for crocheting top of the muzzle with lips.
R20. 3 sc., 1 dee., 1 sc., now use BLO (back loops only) 2 sc., 1 dee., (3 sc., 1 dec.)x3, 1 sc., 3 sc., 1
dee. (24)
R 21.-R23. 1 sc. in each st. around (24) (3 rounds)
R 24. (2 sc., 1 dec.)x6 (18) stuff the head, do not overstuff the head and the muzzle, it should be soft
for sculpting.

Remember insert wires first and after it sew the ears to the head.
- with acrylic paint/ crayons/pencils/makeup eye shadow or anything what you are familiar with
paint end of the ears and eyes area and any part what you think is needed it
- glue on eyes and nose.
White Yarn
R 1. 6 sc. in magic ring (6)
R 2. (1 inc.) x 6. (12)
R3.-R 8 . 1 sc. in each st. around (12) (6 rounds)
Stuff bottom of the leg only.
Fold it in half and crochet 6 sc. through both sides of the leg as shown on the
picture. Fasten off.
Tail.
Hazelnut Yarn
R 1. 6 sc. in magic ring (6)
R 2. (1 SC., 1 inc.) X 2, 2 SC. (8)
R3.-R19. 1 sc. in each st. around (8) (17 rounds). Stuff it lightly. Fold the top of the tail in half and
crochet 4sc. through both sides of the tail. Cut off yarn.
Body.
Stitch marker is in a middle of the body at front. Keep it always in a middle of the body, add shift
st. if needed.

White Yam.
The patch is crochet in rows (Row.) not rounds (R.). Shape of the patch can be your own noise, be
low is how I crochet it. Chi. on end of rounds are not counts as st.
