portfolio, Fortenza is offered in combination with Avicta Complete Corn with
Vibrance nematicide/insecticide/fungicide seed treatment.
When Fortenza is applied in combination with Cruiser®, the insecticide
component of Avicta Complete Corn, it complements the insect spectrum of the
other by providing additional protection against several damaging insects such
as black cutworm, fall armyworm, white grub and seed corn maggot.
Additionally, Fortenza is also available in combination with CruiserMaxx® Corn
with Vibrance insecticide/fungicide seed treatment, a combination of separately
registered products, for protection against early-season insects and disease.
Unpredictable pests can yield disastrous results
The importance of selecting the best genetics and establishing a perfect stand
is widely known. To achieve this, it’s important that every seedling is protected
against unforseen stand losses that can come from pests such as black
cutworm and fall armyworm. Fortenza seed treatment allows growers to
proactively manage these pests rather than reactively treating pests with a foliar
spray after already incurring some stand loss or other damage.
Black cutworm can cause severe damage to corn plants by cutting the plant at
or just below the soil line. While plants cut just below the surface will wilt and die
quickly, those impacted above-ground will often survive but will never be as
productive as other plants. The enormous appetites of black cutworm can
devastate fields within days.
Fortenza seed treatment insecticide, when applied in combination with Cruiser
insecticide seed treatment, provides best in class protection against heavy
black cutworm pressure.
