1.

3D Printing- D printing is a manufacturing process in which material is laid down, layer by

layer, to form a three-dimensional object. (This is deemed an additive process because
the object is built from scratch, as opposed to subtractive processes in which material is
cut, drilled, milled, or machined off.) Although 3D printers employ a variety of materials
(such as plastic or metal) and techniques (see "How Does 3D Printing Work?" below), they
share the ability to turn digital files containing three-dimensional data—whether created
on a computer-aided design (CAD) or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) program, or
from a 3D scanner—into physical objects.
Designers use 3D printers to quickly create product models and prototypes, but they're
increasingly being used to make final products, as well. Among the items made with 3D
printers are shoe designs, furniture, wax castings for making jewelry, tools, tripods, gift
and novelty items, and toys. With 3D printing, designers have the ability to quickly turn
concepts into 3D models or prototypes (a.k.a. "rapid prototyping"), and implement rapid
design changes. It lets manufacturers produce products on demand rather than in large
runs, improving inventory management and reducing warehouse space. People in remote
locations can fabricate objects that would otherwise be inaccessible to them.
2. Smart business card- With a smart business card, you can easily share your contact
information with others by simply scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC chip. This
eliminates the need for manually inputting contact details and ensures that your
information is accurate and up-to-date.
3. CleanTech- it can be described as technology that utilises renewable energy resources
and eco-friendly processes and services to discourage the use of non-renewable
resources, reduce waste production, and enable improved environmental sustainability.
Clean technology or “cleantech” refers, most obviously, to technology that doesn’t
pollute. But more broadly, it refers to technologies that also help to reduce
environmental impact — by saving energy, reducing waste and performing necessary
functions like remote equipment monitoring and maintenance with limited carbon
emissions. Environmental technology examples include a broad range of industrial
applications, as well as sustainable products, services, and infrastructure.

SCRIPT:

Intro: Good day everyone! I'm Kuh Kyla Jacildo, and I will be sharing to you the recent
technologies that I've researched that aree implemented in business sectors.

(Next slide)

So these are the three innovative technologies I've chosen. The first one is 3D printing, the
next is a Smart business card, and the third one is Hyper-Accurate Positioning Technology.

So this 3D printing is also known as additive manufacturing. 3D printing is a process of

making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file whether created on a computer-
aided design (CAD) or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) program, or from a 3D
scanner—into physical objects.
3D printers enable designers to quickly produce prototypes and finished goods, including
toys, furniture, tools, and jewelry. Rapid prototyping allows designers to quickly
transform ideas into prototypes, allowing for last-minute adjustments and increased
inventory control. This technology also benefits remote workers by creating items
unavailable to them. Businesses already use it for printing prototypes as well as final
products, including homes.

Next is Smart Business Card. Smart Business Cards are the most advanced business
cards on the market. They provide a safe and secure way to connect with customers by
sharing contact information digitally, using the latest NFC (Near-field communication
technology). With one simple tap details can be added directly to prospects’ phone
contacts. Using Smart Card, you can also share websites, social media channels, video
content and much more.

And the last is, Hyper-accurate positioning technology. Contrary to GPS devices, which
solely rely on radio signals sent by satellites orbiting the Earth, hyper-accurate
positioning systems use a two-dimensional active positioning system created to deliver
regional radio determination satellite services (RDSS). Because of this technological
advancement, vehicles can now navigate their way around with precision and security
within their immediate surroundings. Travelers and tourists can have an amazing
experience with the least amount of assistance from other people. It brings up
opportunities for a variety of applications, such as the establishment of new positioning
models, wearable technology, automated distribution, autonomous vehicles, and disaster
monitoring.

ACTIVITY #3

These are the five other areas that use technology and its advantages and disadvantages
These are home, banks, agriculture, transportation, and busines

So the advantages of technology to home and family is that

Mobile phones help busy families maintain and strengthen relationships by enhancing
communication and allowing for extended contact, especially when children and parents
are separated.
But the disadvantage is that the family members overuse the technology causing lack of
quality time, poor face-to-face interaction, interrupted family time, and having a limited
outdoor activities.

Next area is bank

These are advantages of technology to bank
Banking process is faster than before and more reliable. Maintenance and retrieval of
documents and records have become much faster and easier.
Computerized banking also improves the core banking system. With a core banking
system, all branches have access to common centralized data and are interconnected.
The processing of cheques become more faster and efficient than before.
With the introduction of mobile banking, one can access their bank from anywhere-
anytime. Everything is one quick tap away.
The scope of fraud in banks is being minimized through the use of passwords, and double
authentication in online banking.
Technology also leads to competition among the banks which eventually provides better
services to people.

The biggest negative impact of technology is the loss of Jobs as automation has replaced
a number of jobs in the banking sector.
Through technology comes to the threat of Cyber Attacks, a loophole in the system, and
millions of data can be lost in the blink of an eye.
and because technology consumes less time, people become smore careless which
causes loss of personal details as happened in 2016, many debit card details of big banks
were compromised.

Next area is Agriculture

The use of technology in agriculture has led to higher crop productivity and decreased
use of water, fertilizer, and pesticides
Modern machines and technological advancements enable farmers to collect data,
analyze efficiency, monitor growth, and reduce costs in agriculture.
Technology significantly improves food safety through maintaining safe food storage,
preparation, and service.
Better water management is an important aspect of agricultural technology that can
have positive impacts on food production and the environment.
With the help of technology, farmers can monitor and manage the health of their
livestock more effectively.

While it has some advantages such as simplicity and increased efficiency, it also has
negative impacts on the environment and biodiversity.
such that monoculture and loss of biodiversity, soil degration, and erosion.
It also increases the consumption of energu and emissions of greenhouse gas
The use of agricultural technology has led to a widening gap between rich and poor
farmers.
The use of technology in agriculture has been a topic of concern for many people, as it
may lead to a reduction in employment opportunities.

Next area is Transportation

Technology helps in advancements in logistics which shows in utilization of robotics, sensors,
automation for touchless supply chain infrastructure.
Full product tracking from the factory to the final delivery location increases supply chain visibility.
Technology boosts productivity, reduces costs, and enhances services through sensor devices,
tracking software, and barcoding.
All in all, because of the advancements it makes delivery times faster

The disadvatages is that the advancement may cause air and water pollution, resource
depletion, massive energy use and carbon foot print.

And last is business

Because technology detects errors in accounting, thus ensures accurate revenue and expense
management, preventing costly damage to a company's reputation,
company success relies on sales, with customers being the driving force. Technology gave a new
way of marketing strategies for a competitive advantage.
Advancements enable businesses to communicate globally, easily access solutions, and share
files through email and other means.

Disadvantages
because modern businesses rely largely on technology, it demands periodic improvements to
maintain their competitiveness businesses cause higher expenses
Mobile phone addiction consumes time and attention, causing employees to focus on technology
for productivity and efficiency.
Technology dependency in business has disrupted habits and operations, affecting remote
operations and transactions through digital devices and apps.
