3. In my own perspective, culture pertains to the social institutions of a certain country wherein
variety of practices, beliefs, and acts are being performed and passed from generation to generation.
On the other hand, society is where a group of people living together inside the community wherein
participation and social connection are dominant. In a society, people were exposed and under the
same political power and cultural standards.

4. Can a society function without culture, or can a culture exist without society? Why?
A society can’t function without culture and the case will be the same if the culture exists yet the
society isn’t. Society consists of people and they’re suppose to live with participation and social
connection but if practices, beliefs and acts are not present, there will be no understanding and the
connection will be disregarded especially that there are no reason to do that since culture holds
those type of identity. As for the second situation, it will be the same where the ones responsible
for the culture to be preserved isn’t there as the society holds those type of identity.
