1. In my own perspective, the importance of finding your own social location in your own society is
that, it will help you as a whole being. It influences and features our own identity which may or may
not be exactly similar with other individuals.

2. The following features such as race, gender, religion, class, and etc. affects me as an individual in
pursuing my present and future plans since it defines me as a person. The said features was
included to my personality, and identity which can help me to communicate and connect with other
people regardless of their own race, gender, religion, class, and etc. From that, I can easily achieve
educational, and job goals which relates to my present and future career.

3. Government has the responsible to respond and offer respective solutions to every problem
inside the vicinity. Together with this, is their responsible to acknowledge their people’s necessities

Society has been a big part of our life where we’ve been living with different people
around us, joining them in many events and projects inside the vicinity. As for my society,
I’m grateful enough to witness everything about it including the negative ones.
Since I was a child, I’m living my life with the society that I’m in right now. It’s full of
beautiful people, places and spot that everyone would love to see.

My society is like a representation of a sun, everything is

always bright wherein it seems like you’ll always see light on how
every people will treat you. Aside from this, the atmosphere in
here is as hot as how every people will welcome you when you got
here.

My society is also like a representation of the sea. It can

feature the essence of calmness and the raging waves coming from
the sea. The society that I lived in was peaceful yet imperfect as it
is the nature of life.

The topic was about the nature, goals and perspectives in anthropology , sociology and political
science.

It matters because having knowledge regarding this kind of topics and concepts will help us,
students to acquire knowledge about the society and other context that are related to it. Also, as I
delve deeper through the topic, I realized that those knowledge that I gained will help me as a
HUMSS student and even in the future especially that it can be linked with humanities that is
inclined with my desired job.

I’ve learned today that there are three specialized fields which interrelates to the concept of
society, culture, and politics. As for society, there will be sociology that focuses with social
interactions, and culture to be able to understand the society itself. I’ve learned that the idea of
sociology come from Auguste Comte and Franz Boas for anthropology which underlies with
culture. From that, I’ve gained knowledge that anthropology studies people and their culture
wherein theories and new knowledge can be produced and discovered. Lastly, as for politics,
political science is the field inclined to this where it enables us to understand the system of
government, politics, and political power which started by ancient Greek.

I enjoyed a lot during discussion and even while answering the activities. The things that
I’ve learned today will surely help me to understand the concept of society, culture, and politics. I
didn’t expect that up until now, I have so many things that I still doesn’t know. I’m very grateful
and jovial to learn these things. I’m hoping that I would learn more for the upcoming lessons.

Based on what we discussed , social issue or problem that affects the society has
something to do with the disciplines of anthropology, sociology, and political science in
addressing it. From the given picture, we can definitely imply that it features the societal
problem regarding COVID-19, mainly the aspect of fighting against it. The discipline of
anthropology helps our medical authorities consider local cultural and social
characteristics as a response to this virus outbreak. Anthropologists provide new
 perspectives on the origin of social and individual attitudes during epidemics and how to
assist the families in terms of the said issue. As for the discipline of sociology, it
contributes to the issue of COVID-19 by uncovering everyone’s perspectives to attain and
come up with the best strategies in terms of social interactions and many more. Lastly, the
discipline of political science helps the government as it deals keeping the social order and
harmony among the whole country or even just in a certain vicinity.
The three specialized fields help us in many ways and its well evident at this point
since we all know and experience how the COVID-19 affects the whole country in different
aspects that cause social changes in the society. Having them in our system will enables
our country to strengthen its barrier of being organized and systematic where the negative
impact is lesser than expected.
